Was really not looking forward to that game but ended up finding it really entertaining. We thoroughly deserved the win, but for 2 good saves from their keeper and practically an open goal miss from Clayton, would've been 5 up. Disappointed to concede but a wins a win and I definitely wasn't expecting it.

Connolly was a constant menace, just need him to continue at that level. The kick and run tactic to him had the beating of them every time. His pace is such an asset we need to exploit that more.

At the time I felt the red card was justified and the second yellow was soft. Having watched the replay I don't think Plymouth can argue with either. Second red was a stupid challenge to make when already on a booking.

 

The bar though is set that low you couldn't limbo under if you were Sammy Lee

 

To say Mellor was returning after another lay off he did well on that pitch, thought he supported Connolly most of the game, his long throw was part of the build up to our first goal and in my opinion there left winger was one of their better players.
I think the reason McCall might have hooked him is because he was tiring on that pitch, he certainly performed better in his 70+ minutes than Henley, but seeing their goal on Quest l though although he turned Henley inside out O'Donnell should have done better with the shot.

 

Have a read of this couldn't have been at the same game as me, failing to say without their keeper making several very good stops and our inept finishing Plymouth could have been back on their coach with a sound beating.

He's a horrendous performer, but his statistics command respect.

Championship appearances, probably a strong highlight reel, the lad does have ability and is every coach's ideal - a decent player who is performing abysmally. If you can bring him up to standard, you've done your job very well indeed.

But in reality, this is one player with an awful mentality, crippled by three successive relegations and beyond all 'Hope'.

But that's not what they are saying is it? That's what you have interpreted from what has been said, which is shady to say the least. If they are going to faff about with decisions, they should at least have the decency to give those fans travelling some distance an explanation to their line of thinking.

 

I'm sorry it upsets you that I think the club should have given a clearer message to those fans that may be travelling some distance and were wondering whether or not to set off to the game today or not.

 

If this forum got to decide when games were off due to the weather then we'd have about 8 games in hand at this point

On this pitch, you cant aspire to any sort of quality of playing football.. Just gotta battle, play for set pieces and long rangers. So tactically, weve been spot on.
