They were a big club and still are against the likes of Bradford City but stop thinking because you once was a big club you deserve success, a smaller version of Leeds United.

 

Of course it matters.

Sheffield Utd have an identity on and off the pitch.

Sunderland have an identity off the pitch but not on it.

Bradford City have no identity off the pitch or on it.

All big clubs in their own rights but Bradford City are MASSIVELY FAILING!

 

Fans can drive change and they help to shape the culture of a club. I'm not saying the fans are the sole reason we have a 4th division club by any means, but as a fanbase I think we generally have a 4th division mindset.

 

Go on tell us, what's Sunderlands off the pitch identity?

I have yet to talk with a City fan who doesn't have ambitions of aiming and reaching for the Championship, but one step at a time eh Fordy.

A club with 14k fans that's been in the PL that's based in a top 15 City for population in the U.K., an owner worth 150m and we sit in div 2 with no assets and you think we're not MASSIVELY FAILING.. ha ha seriously wake up and get real!

I have struggled relentlessly - Trying to see any sign or post from you that you are an actual City supporter. For every 'positive' post you make, it is speedily followed by a dozen or so scathing criticisms (posts) of the Club.
And this is your major failing, Fordy. The likes of @Bronco , @Park bantam, plus many more, including myself, each have our own misgivings about our Club. Yet we don't have this inane need to over react to any given problem or situation.

YOU call us happy clappers and accuse us of lacking any ambition !! Yet the reality is …… YOU have already admitted you are 'young' (so therefore naïve ), whereas we are seasoned veterans, and have seen it all before, so have a more controlled and relaxed approach to such things.

Perhaps you can persuade one of your midgets to release the shackles, and you can at last get laid, just so you can chill now and again, huh ?

Anyone in such a privileged !!!! position as yourself would donate a couple of days a week
to advance the club
You boast you dont need to spend time at your business so instead of sat watching day time TV go to VP and spread some of that business knowledge
