    He's still contracted to Swindon under the current loan agreement (until at least until the transfer window opens), and couldn't come back now even if we wanted him to.

    Hes back at City ! He isnt at and cannot play for Swindon tomorrow. The deal expires at 24:00pm today so if hes fit - which he is then no matter the leading goalscorer in the country is in that team at 3pm tomorrow ! Who else have we got as a better option ? It doesnt matter if he has not trained with us ? If we signed Ronaldo at 00:001am tomorrow would we leave him out ? or stick him on the bench ? ...well yeah probably if its this club ?

    Think you will find its a six month loan expiring today. Thats why there is all the concern about this on both sides ?. Why would we have loaned him for the entire season ? That would be plain daft - although not beyond us ?

    It is a full season loan with a recall window in January, not a six month loan.

    I think he was being sarcastic, everyone knows what the situation is. Swindon sign him permanently or he comes back. Saying that Doyle might not want to sign permanently for Swindon, i read an interview last week where he admits he chases the money, also doesn't car share so he can listen to self help and motivational podcasts on the travel down to Swindon. What he wants from them as a permanent contract and what they are willing to offer may be way off. in that sense he may come back to us, see his contract out and then look for a more lucrative option as a free agent. Should have a fair few offers with the season he is having.

    Cue total melt-down on here when Doyle comes back, jogs around a bit looking totally lost and reverts back to not being able to hit a barn door, I’m sure it will all be Bowyer’s fault rather than journey man lower league striker reverting to type after best half season of his career!

    We had both Hendrie and Gilliad on loan in season 2018 and both played at Fleetwood on 1st January so how come they played for us yet Doyle cant start for Swindon ?.

    Do I vaguely recall from the Jack Payne loan that recall clauses have to be enacted with a standard notice period? 7 or 14 days?
