How many saves has hornby had to make since he came into the side our defending has been outstanding for weeks and despite tonight being out possessed we still made some good chances

 

7 wins out of last 8. Amazing run. Can’t believe it’s the same season as the team we saw in November.

 

Unbelievable run continues. The back 4 have been immense in this run, we seem to be taking our limited chances at the moment and grinding out wins, which bodes well. Be good to see Evans back, I think we have missed him, perhaps not results wise, but missing his know how and experience. I hope he is back for Bolton game.

The closer we got to the 90th minute, the more he held the ball up and brought others into play.

He didn't do that initially, but he came on pretty early so it wasn't a requirement.

Once again T&S have shown how good they are at getting players to manage a game. Yes, we looked tired at times - the rush of two games week on, week out, is clearly having an affect. But they stuck it out, great hard won three points. Faithful, you're right - Bolton won't be easy. But I would reckon their players too, will be suffering from no breaks, total full on twice a week matches. However, I am becoming blown away by the way T&S are getting our players to buy into their tactical and game management principles. I don't need to say 'bring on the new' - they're already here. And they're ours! Great piece in the I about T&S - when was the last time that Bradford City was getting credit for being forward thinking??!

 

The difference Rowe and Cook have made has been incredible.

Yes, the defence has been a bit of a brick wall for a lot of our opponents, BUT, a lot of these games could have gone either way. With those two scoring game after game, we're asking all the questions of our opponents rather than it being the other way round.

 

He did well. Rowe scored the goal, but I actually thought the whole front 3 were poor today.

 

It wasn't the best of performances but the defensive effort wasn't just from the back four, Sutton, Watt, Cooke and Clarke when he came on.
Even when not at our best we at least look like a team now, not like a bunch of strangers. Well done Trueman and Sellars.

 

But how many attempts at goal. Ignore the offside, he was in Manningham Park , he was that far off!

I didn’t want to tempt fate but during the 2nd half I never felt that Mansfield would score, our defence is rock solid at the moment, and the team is so well organised.
