I don’t see how else the manager could’ve played it last night. All 10 players brought in deserved minutes on the pitch and should’ve been able to give an u21 side a better game. It’s down to those players to to leave a positive impression in the mind of Adams, even if the whole team seem disconnected. It’s tough on the youngsters, but their lack of loan movement to the NL tends to add weight to Adams theory that they aren’t quite ready to influence first team football.

 

It is telling that we conceded all three in the second half, That along with the number of strain injuries leads to the question of the quality of fitness training and medical care in the backroom,

 

The result is not important here as the Man Utd under 21s demolished Salford last season 6-0.
Its the fact that we had players deemed 1st team shoe ins been turned over and also the way we played.
Very timid and at 0-0 at half time to go in, listen to the managers team talk, then come out and lose 3 goals, doesn't fill me with confidence, and believe me Adams needs the fans confidence because its draining away like a summer storm.
On this recent bad run in the league, we've been level away at Orient and Salford and been beaten by a more drilled and improved team in both.
We were level against 10 men against Walsall and playing well, then 2nd half fell away.
Barrow is the only game when we've scored 2nd half then wound our game back in to save us from losing.
Very conservative football.
For me in the league we have this season and the expectation of our supporters whipped up by Delboy Sparks, this team and manager are crumbling under the weight of the size of the club and task he finds himself in charge of.

I know it's a nothing game to many but this is piss poor. We have been dominated in every aspect of the game by teenagers. We have to go to the free-agent market surely? Although, personally I think Adams is the problem with his tactics.

 

Half the 17 and 18 year olds in the Man Utd team on loan would have been better than Lavery, Evans and Robinson. That’s how bad City’s recruitment is.

 

I disagree being successful at Valley Parade is a far bigger challenge that keeping Morecombe up, IMO.

 

I really don't care about this cup, but losing to anyone's u21 team is a disgrace.

 

It’s a tin pot trophy and only reiterates how poor a squad we have. Adams will, I assume take the same route as Parky. Spend what you have on a decent squad of 18 and forget about anything after that. The youngsters are a long way away from being close to an average league 2 side. Don’t beat yourselves up about the result.

You need experienced and dedicated owners and qualified and skilful and mature management in the football industry off the field not just on it

 

It's not just us the fans and them..we are in it together as BCFC and promising transparency means having the b##ls to call things out..good and bad.The process of remedy through solution.Goodness know what our sports science people make of all this.

Not really.

You can argue that in the Lincoln game we conceded 2 in the first half, but only 1 in the second.

We also scored late winners at Mansfield and at home to Oldham, as well as coming from behind against Barrow.

 

I agree with Adams, it’s clearly a dig at the fans who kicked off about a lack of subs.
He's proved his point which our subs are naff. Also proved his point about the kids. Unfortunately.

 

Pretty sure it was a superb, assured performance from an excellent West Ham team....
