It's so frustrating that Devitt got himself sent off, we could quite possibly have won otherwise. The players clearly have the desire, but do they have the quality and a manager who knows how to get them playing? February is crucial and looking at the fixtures I think it will either make us or break us.

Anyone who watched that can only give credit we came out with a point, unlucky to not get 3.

A dramatically improved performance in the first half and think the formation and personnel looked good.

Silly challenge from Devitt, but he was good up until then so shame we’ll lose him for a few games.

This doesn’t repair the dreadful performances recently, but it’s a good step in the right direction. Perhaps tonight we can give it a rest and give credit where credit is due. Now the hard work to follow up with a big performance on Saturday at Oldham.

Sorry , even down to 10 men it doesen't make this result significant . 23% possession at home is pathetic , even prior to that with 11 men we didn't have any of the ball . We are way way short of a promotion side and will finish mid - table .

 

We only lose Devitt for 1 game

 

You have the club you deserve right now. Absoutley clueless. The sooner we stop giving away cheap season tickets the better, to filter out some of the crap spouted by people who have no idea what they're talking about.

 

If we put in performances like that more often and tonight’s hard fought draw came after a couple of good wins, fans would be more forgiving. Problem is the run of form we are currently on and draws at home aren’t really helping our cause.
Big few days coming up now in the window. Oldham at weekend then who just beat Mansfield 3-1

 

I thought you knew football, Devitt completely changed the game with his sending off the 10 that were left were brilliant.

 

Listened on the radio tonight and putting everything into perspective after the events since Saturday it sounded like we bust a gut unlike Mansfield.
Fans want effort and even with ten men the commentary suggested it was on show.
Get some fresh faces in by the Friday transfer deadline and hopefully things on the pitch will improve.

 

Nice to watch from the comfort of my sofa as couldn't be bothered with the cold and rain! Given the circumstances before the game which had reduced my expectations to zero, and the sending off I'll take that. Not much chance of competing when you're down to 10 for half the game. Not a lot of quality on show but they can't be accused of not putting in a shift so I guess that's something to build on.

Devitt let us down tonight big time. Stupid making a challenge like that when on a yellow and gave us a right job. Annoying as thought him and Cooke seemed like a decent midfield partnership with more forward intent than we've been seeing.

Glad Donaldson is back we have missed his strength but he needs to stay injury free. Noticeable after he came off nothing stuck for us up front, Oteh is far too lightweight.

Surprised with Bowyer's double sub leaving no subs left, we'd have been screwed if we'd picked up another injury, I'd have kept McCarten on.

Hats off to Connelly never stopped running and close to creating something out of nothing with his pass to himself and tackling the keeper.

I wasn't at Mansfield, but every time I've seen them the desire has been there, I think the claim that Bowyer has lost the dressing room is complete bollocks with a bit of added wishful thinking. I don't think they do have the quality that we'd all want/like, which is why I am cutting Bowyer slack, I don't see another manager suddenly improving their "quality".

Yep, Feb will make or break us but if Bowyer gets this squad up, in a few years we'll look at these players careers and be......belatedly........grateful.

Effort? Can't fault it tonight, but as others have said, 100% effort is a pre requisite.

Quality? Non existent.

Decent enough result, but nothing changes, Bowyer out.

 

We had 25% possession and one shot on target before the sending off. Nothing changed after it.
We are very very poor and lack quality in a number of key positions.
I agree the players fought well second half. I won't give them credit for trying though as I've said before. Effort is a minimum requirement.

Yes down to 10 obvious excuse for ppl.

But that performance wasnt good enough again.

With 10 has to be s plan/outlet...cannot just say lads sit back for all 45mins and defend and waste time.

 

All the fight missing from the last 4 games was there tonight, and we were unlucky not to hold on. Tbh just before the goal I didn’t think they’d score in a month of Sundays. That said we still lacked quality on the ball even 11 v 11 and if not for a penalty wouldn’t have been scoring. We’ll see how the next 3 games go and who Bowyer brings in, because may as well accept he won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.
