Sorry but we were poor against Walsall.
We failed to breakdown a league 2 team with a man short. Tactically we failed to take advantage, kept doing the same thing firing the ball into cook. Vernam should have had the nouse to run into the 18 yard box and make something happen, coaching staff should have recognised this if the players didn’t.
It was an all too familiar story of frustration at valley parade

 

£1.50 on a Saturday although I haven't parked there yet this season and I've been told they've put it up to £2.

Actually looking back I've changedy mind and agree with you to an extent. If you can't beat a limited side down to 10 men then yeah there has to be very poor elements to your game.

I agree with the sentiment but I'm not really sure why you've singled Vernam out as he was the only one who was running at his man and the only one looking like actually creating something.

 

Vernam isn't the problem. But with him being a winger that cuts in on his right rather than getting to the byline he needs to be scoring more regualrly as his style doesn't lend him to putting crosses in.

Not a fan of wingers playing on the wrong wing. Beagrie excepted but he was a different gravy. On the whole give me a by line winger who can worry the keeper with the different angles that their play creates. Ball from deep swinging in to wards a keeper are easy meat compared to outswinging ones that a centre forward can run on to, and the keeper usually can only punch, are far more effective

 

A side down to 10 men that is drawing is a completely different kettle of fish to a side of 10 that is losing. Had we faced the latter rather than the former then I think we would have won the game. That said, I agree that poor elements such as lack of quality in terms of our finishing certainly played a part in the result.
