I do think he's a very talented player. I've thought that since I first saw him as a 19 year old in non league making monkeys of experienced ex EFL centre backs. And he's scored goals at L1 level.

It's frustrating to see him so ineffective out on the left. MH says he has played a lot of his career there, and that's true, but it was before he had several serious injuries which are either limiting his speed or his confidence to take players on.
After the way he ended last season I thought he was going to do really well this year, which he certainly isn't playing out wide. On Saturday he looked so much better when he was switched inside alongside Cook, with Harratt out wide.

I dont think its picking on any particular players just pointing out it was a weak goal to conceded, playing Devil's Advocate Darbs would have been on the goal line facing the cross watching the runner.

I know, but it is how it is perceived if the players happen to land in here. I am just as guilty as the next fan of jumping to criticise, but I don’t want anything to disrupt the team building that has taken place. All the players want to be fan favourite’s and have their name sung by the fans. That won’t be happening if the are slow starters. It doesn’t harm us to remember these lads are young or the majority

Replace the second word of your post with 'any' and I'd completely agree with you.

Yeah, but Darbs was the absolute master of clearing a ball off the goal line. He might have got a nose bleed at the halfway line, but as a defender, at our level, he was one of the best right backs we've had.

But for me it was great to see a pass like that and one of the forwards making a run like that. We need attack in different ways. We've been too predictable at times.

You are right, he is far too talented for L2. He's actually got more presence in the box than Cook and I would love to see the two of them play together with Harratt coming on as a like for like for Angol after an hour. I think it would be similar to watching Campbell & Hawley. One the far superior player who deceives with his ability, and the other the out and out striker who gets in where it hurts.

I think you will know which one is which in Angol & Cook.

I really want to see Harratt get a start so we can really see what sort of a player he is. I don't think he's a like for like for Angol. I think he has a real strikers instinct. You could see that for Angols shot which hit the bar, and Cooks second goal, Harratt had found space ready to receive a pass and get s shot on goal. For all his trickery Angol doesn't seem a natural finisher. Hope I'm not building Harratt up too much
