Everyone is different. Some manage it better than others. Harry Chapman has cited travel time as a reason for not realising his potential at Blackburn. Let's hope the reduced journey time to Bradford makes a positive difference for him.

 

Well if he was willing to relocate to Shrewsbury, I don't see why he wouldn't be prepared to do the same here if he felt it would help him.

 

Rented accommodation or hotel perhaps? If he wasn't prepared to move for his parent club in Blacburn, then I doubt he would be prepared to move for his parent club in Bradford. Especially he's now 40 mins closer.

Very good indeed, when on form. An exciting player for the fans. Scored several eye catching goals from outside the box to win games. On the downside, he needs others to do the leg work for him which stopped him being a bigger part of Cotterill's team and at Burton maybe. But he will certainly convert draws into wins in tight games. A very good signing especially if you are challenging at the top. Thumbs up from me, and I would have been pleased had shrewsbury resigned him. I see him as a league one rather than a league two player.

 

Needs legs around him is a massive concern currently because Bradford City’s squad is extremely slow on the whole.

What is funny is Shrewsbury fans telling us about a player when Bradford City should be miles ahead of them and Burton. Can’t get excited by what a Shrewsbury fan says. Blackburn what you saying? I want a true picture from a big club.

All in all what I have seen from him he’s decent. Nothing to get excited about though.

 

Over the last few years, we have accumulated a reputation for having a team that isn’t the most mobile. However, the signs from pre season indicate that this wont be the case this time round. The majority of our players are under the age of 25 an aren’t known for being slow. You have the likes of East, Young, Harratt who have been signed. Then you have existing squad players such as Sutton an Gillead who’s main attributes include a high intensive playing style. You have the Likes of Angol an Songo’o who are team players an allow those around them to thrive. Based on that, I think Chapman will thrive here. In essence, it looks like the team Hughes is building is capable of doing the leg work an allowing the likes of Chapman an Walker to do what they do best when they get on the ball

As for Shrewsbury. Yes they have a smaller ground than us an their attendances are a lot lower than ours. Does that make the opinions of their fans irrelevant? I don’t think so. They’ve been plying their trade in the Third tier of English football for the last few years. We haven’t. Shrewsbury fans have had a first hand picture at watching Chapman go up against defenders of a higher quality than the ones we have come across in League Two. I think its a very good signing for us an that Chapman is more than an adequate replacement to Vernam

 

At the end of last season the attack we finished with was as good as anything in this league and now with chapman for Vernham and hopefully with Dion back and the new signings we will have exciting times

 

You would say that if the Queen played for us .

 

You could argue the same for Vernam. Plenty of games where he went missing for large parts.
