Just for your grammar and putting names of players we don't even have at the club, this post is utter bollocks.

3 year deal, means the ball is in our court. Hold out for silly money , it could really help us kick on.

Anyway back to the game…we will play much much better and lose… Points on the board are all that counts at the end of the season.

    Takeaways
    Dion looks unfit
    We missed Banks
Angol holds the ball up well
    Platt sound as a pound
Lewis did the job when called upon.
Wright , cool as you like.

We dominated the first 20 minutes and there's an argument that shocking challenge on Wright should have been a red.

The solution is to turn that dominance into 2 or 3-0 as no matter what any of us think, there will be times when we are facing teams with wise managers like Weaver - they'll have periods of control.

This is no different to how we played in any of the successful seasons of the last ten years (i.e. the three play-off reaching seasons) and it's also no different to the 98/99, when we were 'lucky' in many a match.

I agree that we must look to improve, but I still believe that our average play since the start of the season is good enough for the Top 5 or even the Top 3. When Walker etc, come back they'll be like new January signings to us (I'm assuming they'll be fit for then).

But it's sobering that in reality we played just as well against Harrogate last season and lost both matches.

    Why wouldn't we keep Lewis?

He still has plenty of time but I am really disappointed so far with Dion he looked the real deal last season but so far next to nothing

as mentioned above - maybe he is getting noticed to the point where future bids might be made. Seems we have him for a good while, but everyone has a price.

Only if someone comes in with a daft offer. If so, off he goes and we'll use that money to strengthen the team.

I remember, arguably the majority on here, questioning this signing as risky due to his lack of league experience. Now, apparently, we have to worry about him leaving!!

My thoughts exactly. I'd add that Wright had a great game and that we were wide open on our rightside defence. Halliday fine going forward but him and Pereira were all at sea defesively, in the first half particularly. Also Angol was far more effective in the no 10 role than Chapman. Wonder if Hughes has now seen that possibility, one a few of us have suggested.

You can be cruel at times Kevin, it reminds me of the time one of our suppliers at GEC who were a ceramics company from Stoke asked me to get a mini bus of our lads who were City fans and they would treat us to a day out in Burslem a meal at a pub then back to their Executive Suite at Vale Park.
Needless to say the meal was great then onto their Executive Suite in the ground, to our surprise after a no money spared with regards our meals/drinks we were shown to their Executive Portacabin, which to be fair had bottled beer and spirits for our consumption followed by a beautiful hot buffet at half time, you've guessed it a great day out with regards hospitality was spoilt by the result.

I have to agree, he started off brightly then he lost the ball a couple of times after attempted trickery then disappeared altogether!

He wouldn’t have played if Mr Banks was fit. . Thankfully he should be back for Stockport?

And only 24 years old, he could be our keeper right up to the Championship.

For what it’s worth Kev- I’ll be back for Stockport but I’m leaving my boots at home. Just hoping they keep the unbeaten run going.

Behave, that's never a red card. To be fair your last paragraph sums up football. It's the sport where luck plays more part than any other with the possible exception of cricket. Can't think of another sport where our last two performances would have warranted a win and a draw. But that's the game in a nutshell, we may play a team off the park next week and come away with nothing.

That's fantastic news. We're crap but we've just beaten a team with a 4 out of 4 win rate against us and look like we'll be two points off automatic. We've also conceded less than a goal a game (but no doubt we've been "lucky" and should have conceded two on average)

Goodness knows how poor the teams below us must be.

You may well be right. I noticed that it was often the case of Pereira taking their winger with Halliday behind rather than the other way round.
