Well that was worth staying up until 3am for. I’m getting used to celebrating in silence when we score so I don’t wake up the Mrs.

i thought we looked really good until we scored, then were absolutely pants until Angol and Sutton came on.

I like Morais as a co commentator, he was right in my opinion that man for man we are a better team than Harrogate, but as soon as we scored the effort and intensity completely dropped.

Standouts for me were Lewis again who made a couple of ridiculous saves, and Wright and Foulds were great down the left.

It’s costing me money and sleep now that City are doing well but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I thought Matty Foulds had an excellent game yesterday. He's defensively sound but also has an eye for a pass and a trick or two going forward. Links well with Wright, who is looking like a fantastic signing.

Platt is emerging as a genuinely class act.

Not sure what's up with Dion. After a really positive close season with Luton he's looked a liability since returning here.

Chapman is a fish out of water at 10. Just doesn't get involved in games. As soon as he moves wide he comes alive. When Walker returns our creativity should improve enormously.

Angol looks so much better playing centrally than wide left. With him on we won free kicks in dangerous areas and the ball stuck up front instead of just coming back at us constantly. His pass for Wright's goal was sublime. I'd like to see MH give him a try in the hole behind Cook and play Chapman wide instead of Pereira.

    Fully agree with you here.

It’s nice to know we have a 1st team and squad that can compete in this league.

Are we up there running away with it? - No.

Are we in the mix - damn right.

Can we keep it up? Hope so.

Can we improve? - For sure

I agree it wasn't Cook's best performance but he was up against Rory who I felt played him very well, especially considering he has had a long spell out injured. Although I was disappointed that Rory dominated Cook so well it was quite refreshing that McArdle did it without resorting to wrestling or trying to pull the shirt off his back. Rory McArdle may be getting on a bit but as defenders go he is still a class act.

Today showed, just like the Wimbledon and Walsall game that there are no standout teams at this level. Just teams that know how to win. When winning becomes a habit you're half way there, Parky showed that.
    All about the three points.

    Two really honest interviews there.

Listening to Harry was particularly interesting-what a class act on and off the pitch.

I like how honest Mark is as well. Doesn't dress anything up-says it as it is.

I believe this sort of honesty from MH is adding to the professional outlook of the club. We are miles ahead of where we were this time last year on and off the pitch. What a turnaround.

The media team are doing a great job of bringing the club and fans closer than ever.

Now we have a team of players who want to pull on the shirt with real pride and give the fans something to shout about.

11 games in we are sitting 4th, on a decent unbeaten run and I think the best is yet to come in terms of team performance.

    Up the fecking chickens

The Harrogate press said that's the best they have played all season, I believe Wimbledon said the same last week.

This is going to happen a lot this season with teams raising their game against us. Hopefully the quality of our large squad can consistently overcome this and see us through

Wright has a much better football brain than Pereira. He knows when to take a risk and when to play the safer pass. I don't think he has the same degree of trickery as Dion but more than makes up for that by his sheer pace. Defenders at this level mostly cannot live with out and out pace, whereas they can often bully a small trickster like Pereira.
As well as his attacking threat, Tyreik has got us out of jail defensively on several occasions, using his pace to get back and nick the ball from opposing attackers in dangerous situations.
He looks a real find. I guess the chances of us signing him permanently are pretty low, but it would be a real capture if we could

Two weeks running we've been struggling when Sutton came on and have turned the game around to gain four points instead of one. That says enough about his "headless chicken" contribution.

Based on current form, I’d be tempted to start Angol as a withdrawn second striker / no. 10 and move Chapman to the wing, with Pereira dropping to the bench.

Harry Lewis is different gravy. A keeper that gains you 10/12 a season on his own.

We know you have to graft your way out of LG2 no room for slacking. We will only deserve to leave this LG when we actually leave.

Not a great performance, and more able teams would have put us to bed. However, not playing our best but still coming away with the 3 points is a good omen. There will be times when we played brilliantly but only get a draw or nothing.

I am pleased because this is the first time in this league I actually think we can compete.

Imperative we get out of this godforsaken division, just can't get excited about playing teams who attract that low a number of home game.

Angol made a much needed difference.
Seemed to miss the ball holding up too until he came on, and Oliver continued to improve that.

Foulds was defensively very good also.

Outside that it was a bit laboured and we made hard work of it. But what was clear, as Morais said on the commentary, is that we were the better side but did not dominate as much as we should (and should be).

Quality showed and a great ball from Angol and class finish from Wright saved us.

Is there a bit of arrogance when we start going ahead? Should have kicked on much better after going 1-0 up.

Lewis by the way - what a delight it is having a keeper like him. Class.
