So PC nowadays, I'm sure anyone over 40 + years old will remember city fans often in home parts of away ground, Doncaster, Rotherham, Huddersfield, York etc was the norm

The HTFC blurb sounds a bit vague to me, and probably intended to be so. I doubt City have shared anything with them apart from what they are obliged to do so by the EFL in regards to the details of those who they have sold tickets to for the visitors end for this match only. This will be justified on a range of health and safety grounds.

The dodgy bit is that it is debatable that using this information (or storing similar past shared information) to prohibit purchases of tickets in their home end -ad infinitum - falls within this safety remit, or indeed has been shared with them in knowledge of it being used for this use.

We will never know of course. Unless somebody has the time and cash to legally challenge Harrogate FC or NY police, and by the way it won't be me!

So lets get this one discussed.
A bogey team for City over the last few years since they came up into the league.
Really lacklustre performances the last 2 seasons both home and away have put doubts into supporters minds that we can compete in this match on Saturday never mind get anything from it.
Surely this isn't going to be the case come 2.45pm on Saturday.
Drawing against Wimbledon, even with a late equaliser which felt a bit like a winner, doesn't disguise Hughes and the teams disappointment that we couldn't beat an out of form side.
For me the return of Crichlow and Halliday is important.
Both imo should return to give us better balance.
Odusina is a good player but after watching them both I feel Crichlow is better for the team in general.
Hendrie gives his all but as seen on Saturday isn't as quick as Halliday when moving us up the pitch.
The 2 holding midfielders are a given.
Cook will start despite Oliver's heroics on Saturday.
    Will Wright come straight in???
    I'm not sure.
He has played midweek and will be drained mentally after his penalty miss.
Harrogate on a really poor run.
Hughes must surely be drilling into the squad that energy levels and composure are key as we have the superior quality, but our attitude needs to be spot on.
I'm going for an early goal from the Bantams then the introduction of key subs seeing us to a 3-0 win.

I will take a scrappy 1-0 win , with the ball hitting anyone's backside and wrong footing their keeper.
Keep us in touch and ready for a bumper home game against Stockport.

Looking forward to this one. Me and @Loyalbantam@Loyalbantam are off in the home end so hopefully there'll be another 100 or so City so we can get some songs going.

3 0 City. Up by November.

If this is true, and I'm far from convinced it is, then there'll be a few Harrogate Town fans, who've attended a City match in the past, who will be wondering why they can't get in tomorrow. :joy:

Utter nonsense, what about a good number of people who just want to enjoy a Saturday afternoon game of football and have a purchasing history at a number of clubs? If this is enforced on the day Harrogate Town will only have themselves to blame when fans get upset to put it mildly.

What a comparison. Did Covid not spread in Harrogate or York? Or in a Garden in BD9 but not in a Garden in BD18.

Total overkill by Harrogate, there were loads in the home end last season as could be seen by the number of people who left at 2-0, and there was absolutely no trouble. The biggest joke is they have a capacity of nearly 5,000. Their highest gate in the football league this season isn't even 2k, and they have had 1.3k twice. Last season they topped 3k once, and that is their biggest ever gate at this level. Absolutely no reason why they couldn't hand over the rest of the terrace at the side of the pitch and still have plenty spare for their own fans.

It's sort of understandable given the bad press which a minority of football fans generate for the rest of us. And the rest of us pay a price for that. I occasionally go the watch Sale Sharks with a couple of mates. There is little if any segregation amongst fans, We've sat alongside fans fron Newcastle, Leicester and Bristol without any hint of a problem. And we've even had drinks in our hands in our seats! It's still exciting and great fun. As much as I'd like to experience something similar at football grounds, I don't see it happening in the near future.

I presume you’ll never correct anybody’s mistakes in future then?
You’ll just presume they meant something else and let it ride?

    Great penalty by Chapman.

I know that’s a mistake but please don’t correct me you bunch of inbreds.

You should all know I meant Cook.

I wish these two tossers commentating for Harrogate would shut the hell up. That tackle could have broken Wrights ankle!

1 nil up but to be fair to Harrogate they're the better side. City look lethargic and offer little in central midfield which is putting pressure on the forward line and the back four. Once again Cook hasn't had one chance created for him, having to rely on the penalty. We've played like this before and got away with it. Can't keep doing that though.

We cannot allow Harrogate to pour pressure on us, as the Dons did, at the beginning of the second half.Hope we have learned to start as we did earlier. C'mon City, press.press.press.

Good first 20 minutes, poor since. It’s a common theme when we take the lead, although the positive are we are taking the lead far more often than not. Just need to keep the intensity up.

1 - 1 as we could all see coming why cant you Sparkie,
We concede far too many early second half goals.
