Have watched Bristol City on TV a few times in the last 6 months or so.

Another owner with vision...got a Bristol Sports Company, Ashton Gate completely revamped, pushing for Premier League and look at us....whimpering to the Conference......

 

With the stadium planned to be in use for 200+ days a year it makes sense for the club to be owned seperately from the club, the three directors effectively own the stadium and i suspect the club will be tenants.

 

The thing is with Bristol City they have an owner who is a life long Bristol City fan in Stephan Lansdown, verg much like our past two incumbents Rhodes & Lawn but with an estimated £1.72 billion wealth we have a German with little interest in our club.

 

Dont think I said there was anything wrong. Was just pointing out to people that the club would be in same position as us not owning ground

I am trying to take a break from bantam talk as its gotten quite "salty" as of late

but in regards of your post I do disagree on most of your points.
1) if we make the club to be friendly and welcoming to minorities more will come, as a minority myself I can attest to that. Not all! but some! it would be harder to bring Muslims in due to the drink culture but that is what it is!
2) We saw at the Liverpool game we sold out so the football appetite is there regardless so I do think it would easily sell out.

Would also say the city itself itsnt actually that bad, if we made some more improvements in the city centre it would be decent!

Lastly don't forget not all Bradford City fans are in Bradford

 

Totally agree. Bradford is given a really bad press by the journo's especially the BBC who seem to think it;s hell on earth. It has more going for it than places like Huddersfield, that is for sure. We all need to talk up Bradford and how racially diverse it is rather than hiding behind certain groups who would feel more at home in Johannesburg circa 1970 than here,

 

I finished the episode this morning and I do wonder if DM's point about the fans taking over, similar to Portsmouth a few years ago, could work in the short to medium term? I think it would need 2 or 3 wealthy individuals to be part of the group but I drew up a simple ownership structure based on raising £10m (the price quoted on here previously to buy and invest in the club):

I'll freely admit it's likely pie-in-the-sky, especially as most City fans will be feeling the effects of the current economic climate, but it's a starter-for-ten at least.
