Imagine having someone with his confidence, vision and determination in charge.

What a nice change that would make.

I agree with that but I understand why City is regarded by some as a sleeping giant. Bradford is the largest urban area in England and Wales without at least one club in the Championship or above. The population of Bradford should be able to sustain a higher level club if it were better managed and marketed. There are no doubt many reasons why this isn't the csse but being continually skint isn't helped by continuing to have a cheap ticketing policy which is out of kilter with many other clubs in the lower leagues. If the club wants to develop, it needs to rethink its ticketing pricing policy.

No idea why some tag us a sleeping giant. What is the criteria?. We have spent most of our existence in the lower 2 divisions of the football league and have nearly always been skint.

Darragh used a broker to find his investors and part sold a share in Peterborough. They are Canadian venture capitalists/ If there is the desire and a plan, it can be done.

His partners are behind the £25m new stadium and they bought back the old stadium for £3m. Little old Peterborough were in League 2 and didn't own the ground before he took over.

Apart from his tendency to get in twitter spats, you have to hand it to DM on the way he operates and consistently finds talent/ is prepared to take a risk on semi proven players like Toney. He makes no bones about the fact that he buys to sell and it certainly works in keeping a small club like Peterborough near the top of League One.

Where does it say that MacAnthony uses Moneyball? It's proprietary, betting-based software owned by Matthew Benham, Brentford's owner and he has said in the past that he wouldn't allow others to use it ...except Midtjylland, a Danish club also owned by Benham.

I'm not sure we could find 30k on a regular basis. The population of Bradford includes most of the Dales towns. Within the city boundaries there's a big asian and east european population who probably won't be tempted to come. Financially I don't think there's enough disposable income in our neck of the woods to generate crowds like that. We struggled to fill the ground in the prem with a lower capacity than now and on the back of a positive spell of 5-6 years and a real feel-good factor. If anything we've got a shrinking fan base these days, not just because we're shite but the City is going down the pan and there are stronger local football attractions these days

They're not as few and far between as you'd think. But they need to be attracted. You can't just wait for the phone to ring. You need to get on the front foot and speak to firms who can broker contacts and put you in touch with people. It costs, but if it pays off, its very much worth it.

Contrary to popular belief, these types of people are out there but its about being proactive and seeking out opportunities - something I'm not sure the current incumbent want to do or are capable of.

Its so depressing looking at other, smaller clubs who're setting themselves up with so much more ambition, planning and capability than we are.

The guy couldn't even get a deal to buy Wakefield R.L. over the line, I'm sure he'd previously tried to buy Leeds United and a couple of other RL clubs. He could have bought the Bulls on countless occasions over the last ten years if he was genuine, he came across to me as one of the many shysters professional sports clubs attract who go on and on about buying clubs, but don't actually have the means to do it.

Barnsley have the original 'Mr Money-ball' Billy Beane, who the film was based on, on their board. the use of stats isn't copyrighted by Brentford - plenty of clubs use the system to find and analyse players that they are targeting. Money-ball is a concept not a computer programme.

To demonstrate how owners with a vision for their club and the wherewithal to make it happen, have a look here at how the three Posh owners plan to develop Posh ..

    https://embankmentstadium.com/

It's an impressive and ambitious approach done in conjuction with the local council and the university as part of a much bigger development. It contrasts markedly with how we go about things! Have a look for the interview with Stewart Thompson abiout his own plans for the future of Posh in a new 19,500 capacity stadium.

Totally agree. Bradford is given a really bad press by the journo's especially the BBC who seem to think it;s hell on earth. It has more going for it than places like Huddersfield, that is for sure. We all need to talk up Bradford and how racially diverse it is rather than hiding behind certain groups who would feel more at home in Johannesburg circa 1970 than here,

    We are a sleeping giant.

Imo... our fans base says we are. And in the Championship we could easily 30k through the door. If the stadium allowed.
But alas happyclappers wont hear of it. You lot dont give a toss.

This club has been badly run for decades and continues to be badly ran.

You wont be happy until this club is in non league.
