No Idea why tulloch didn't start, but postmatch he said mcdonald can only play Saturday then Saturday so he ruled him out despite mcdonald saying he wanted to play.

That was the second leg - we drew the friendly 3-3

 

Totally outclassed, not much else to say other than we have 2 of the next 3 games at home and need 6 points from them.

 

Like I said earlier,the next few games will tell us how good we really are.

 

Our midfield (Gillead,oyegoke and walker)on two or three occasions just let Middlesbrough players run across them without a challenge in or around our area and if you let that happen against a team two divisions higher then you are in for a long night.

 

To be fair, if your midfield is Gilliead, Oyegoke and Walker, you're already in trouble, and that's not a knock on Hughes, either.

 

And to be fair Oyegoke did improve in the second half.

 

If that's his attitude to cup matches then I will know not to bother parting with my cash for the FA Cup in November then

 

Why not? He had Smallwood, an actual centre midfielder picking up splinters all night.

Oyegoke wasn't great in his normal position so to shoe horn him in our of position when we clearly had another option is a strange one for me.

 

His goal at home to Boro the year before was better.

 

Yep, Cook and Pattison back. Looks like Richards be back too which is an added bonus.

Chapman and Oliver cant be too far off now. Squad is looking a lot stronger and competition for places so no excuses. Time to push on.

Never really noticed him, game seemed to pass him by. Simon Parker awarded him it too.

Difficult to pick a MOTM to be honest though.

 

The most important thing from last night was never the result. It was making sure Andy Cook and Pattison avoided knocks in a meaningless game. I am surprised both featured at all.

as the two appeared unscathed, we’ll take the defeat, to a much superior side, and move on.
