What was the point of having Simon here in the first place, if you were not prepared to listen to experience and build the club?

It makes the sacking of McCall even more galling!! McCall said he had a mid table squad, the owners didn’t listen and thought they could get a better result from Grayson. Where did we finish?

Now we will have to take whoever we can get!!

 

Our manager recruitment is following the same shit pattern as our player recruitment

Can't say I'm the slightest bit surprised about Grayson walking away. It's been obvious for a while he's been telling them they need to spend a small fortune to be competitive and there's no way as long as they have holes in their German arses they are going to do that.

So it's back to the drawing board, no manager, no squad of note and a season of mediocrity at best to look forward to.

Maybe they didn't want to meet Grayson's demands because he has been shite in the 3 months since he came here?

Why break budgets and invest to support a manager who hasn't earned that right? His tactics, team selections and substitutions were baffling. Results were poor as well.

 

it's almost as if January-May never happened.

what a pointless exercise it was sacking McCall - Grayson took us from 6th to 11th, and leaves with a STERLING record.

might aswell have let McCall finish the season, and his contract, he wouldn't have done any worse. but of course Rahic and his ego just had to sack him, and completely shaft him in the process.

and now they are obviously completely unwilling to change the way they work or provide the replacement they brought in with the funds we will need to build an anywhere near competitive squad for next season.

League 2 here we come.

Can’t see any teams rushing to sign up McCall

 

So in two of the three off seasons under rahic and Rupp, we have been managerless. And in the other they tried their hardest to let that be the case too.

In line with the clubs youth policy - Probably looking for a young upcoming manager from the county amateur league, who is cheap!!!!!!

 

I’m not bothered who we get but Grayson early on saw how bad it was. Maybe his demands were excessive but he knows what it takes to get out of this division. The fact the owners wanted him but couldn’t come to an arrangement is worrying.
