Agree - he sounded border line broken in his interview and thereve been some bizarre team selections and tactics, not sure what’s going on on the training ground because that’s twice in four days we’ve conceded to a free header at the back post.
But, under this regime I don’t trust them to get even small decisions right let alone managerial appointments.
The change needs to start higher up, desperately

MK Dons pulled the trigger on Alexander and you can see why. Funny how they brought in a manager who has a clear strategy of how he wants to play football and he's turned their season around. The only mitigation I'll say in Alexander's favour is that MK have people in charge who could see the problems and had intelligence to change it. We don't have that.

The best bit is the excuse that he might have underestimated the players disappointment after the Wycombe defeat. Pardon Graham? Surely if they are that heartbroken about missing out on a trip to Wembley they'd be busting a gut to get there some other way wouldn't they?

Whilst GA needs to take some accountability for this shambles on the pitch you can't get away from the shambles behind the scenes. To get real change we need new engaged and interested owner and an experienced football man in the CEO role. Replacing GA changes nothing on the pitch.

Sparks is even more clueless. Do you really want him to sack GA and be responsible for finding his replacement? He's the one that needs to go first.

Just look for Sparks' replacement, make it someone with actual footballing knowledge and connections, and replacing Graham Alexander (an ordinary L2 manager) won't seem like such an ordeal.

I’ve heard from a couple of places that there’s a clique of a handful of players, with some unsavoury allegations of certain behaviours within the squad, and that its a factor behind certain recent team selections. I’d imagine it’s part of the ‘other issues’ GA referenced.

Anyway; Sam Walker, Pointon, Kavanagh, Young are the only people at this club I’d be keen to see stay. The rest of the squad, Manager, Owner and CEO can all do one for me. Clean house.

That's a lot to reply to and probably needs a better head than mine.
I suppose i am lucky that we are only a small firm and as i say , i have trained them all up, so they know what is expected of them.
I also pride myself on being a reasonable employer, having worked for the company for 15 years before i took over , i knew what most of the gripes were , so could iron out any wrinkles.
I see it as a two way thing , i need them as much as they need me.

It is a big call to keep Alexandra no question. He has made mistakes, no doubt about it, and his football at times is zzzzzzz. However, it is our previous 2/3 years of mismanagement that is now coming home to roost. We don’t ge to just forget about it even if we have a new DOF. Our reputation for sacking managers has to come into the equation, not to mention the millions we have wasted with appointing the wrong managers either. My question is can he win games when push comes to shove? The jury is still out unfortunately. Now then do we want to take the risk? Well the risks has been minimised with the appointment of Sharpe. So we really are in unknown territory. Will Sharpe insist on a style of football that can get us out of this league, and can Alexandra manage a style that he is less comfortable with? This is where we are, after years of lack of positive leadership. I expect Rupp to step up to the plate and fund what is required quality over quantity.

The front three needs pace and mobility Ade.

Gilly is good sub back up as he can cover 2-3 positions so a squad player. Cook to be brought on when required, so again a squad player but I really struggle to see him provide the pace / mobility necessary. ( He’s not getting any younger nor is he going to suddenly technically improve ) . Facts have to be faced whereby he can provide an outlet under limited circumstances.

We need to get away from this Cook “ has to play” if we want to progress. Over reliance on him hurts us and somewhat forces us to play in one dimension.

    It’s hard to explain.

Do your research. Alexander got Fleetwood promoted into League One, got Scunthorpe into the League Two play-offs, got Salford promoted into the Football League, got Motherwell into their best SPL finish in bloody years in fifth place . You might not like him but his record is good. Do your homework mate.

Agree. Parky didn’t know he would end up at Wrexham years later. His record inbetween is decent. Still walked away from a 5 year project of success based in the meeting with the new owners. That’s on Rupp. Who appointed Rahic don’t forget.

I still blame Sparkes for allowing MH to change course. Harsh I know, but if Sparkes had an atom of football nouse he would have known that would put the squad under enormous pressure, plus the expense. That ultimately comes down to Rupp. It’s ok to be a distant owner, i personally don’t care, but I tell you what I do care about is not taking great care in who appoints as his CEO, and then simply absorbs everything he says. That is why we are in this position.

Yep! Clough and Challinor merely tweaked their squads and look what happened, showing that evolution always beats revolution.

Absolutely baffling what Hughes did. I'm embarrassed that I backed him at the time, thinking he must have a great plan. He didn't.

It may sound controversial but I think that rather than League Two being a "poor" league lacking quality it is quite the opposite. Very few (if any) clubs play route one football any more, they all seem to try to pass the ball, playing the "high press" when they feel it necessary. What It makes for is a more even league with teams sometimes cancelling each other out.
There are quite a few good coaches at lower league level these days, along with some experienced managers. Also due to the amount of foreign player plying their trade in both the Premier League and the Championship it has lead to lot of quality players getting squeezed out of the bigger clubs and down the league pyramid.
Some fans were calling for Challiner and Parkinson to be sacked earlier in the season and look where their clubs have finished up. Mansfield have stuck with Nigel Clough over a period of time and it has paid off. Add to that Gavin McCann at Donny.
I think we should give Alexander time to put a side together and back him to do the job. Personally I don't find his football dated, he also seems quite flexible with his formations. Get Jake Young and Alex Pattison fit for the start of next season plus a few key ins and outs and we will be good to go next season.
That is assuming we don't do the unthinkable and squeeze into the play-offs.

I don't think GA should go but he shouldn't be sitting in the stands at all unless forced to be there through suspension.

His teamsheet and tactics were baffling today and he needs to be made accountable for that. However, he had chances in January to bring in more players and didn't… everyone could see we needed at least one midfielder.

He's made some poor decisions but I don't think we should get rid so soon. Plus, there's nobody out there!

This manager wants to launch the ball forward which is 90`s football like when he used to play, going nowhere with this manager does not know how to play football on the deck and with what players , and surely has his favourite players.
Should have let McDonald manage he is more up to date with the football and likes to play and lets everyone have a chance. No way i would let Alexander spend money on players! hence why he has had so many jobs, like i said get a fresh younger manager who wants to do well. - McDonald at the end of the season.

I'd have thought that was pretty logical to most football people, its not as if he's resting players we've only 9 more games to play, if a professional athlete can't do 90 minutes twice a week then we have a problem Houston.
