    So as it stand we have:

    Guthrie
    Novak
    Donaldson
    Clarke
    Vaughen

    Strong rumours Vaughan wont be here come the start of the season or even next few weeks.

    Leaving us with: Guthrie, Novak, Donaldson and Clarke. That is one extremely poor forward line up of options.

    I said Clarke was a poor signing and I stand by that. He isn't what we need at this time. Yes, he can link up play but he is slow and worse still the players in front of him or alongside him are slow also.

    The forward line up worries me a lot. It's just not good enough. It's not good enough to get into the automatic or the play offs.

    I would pay Guthrie off and say thanks then get another forward in with pace.

    I hope you're wrong with Wood but if the owner is keen on using the club to generate cash, they'd both be obvious departures for very different reasons..

    Of course not. If the club really needed to raise cash by selling or releasing players, I doubt anybody would be daft enough to say that publicly.

    We will see what happens but i don’t think there is any pressure to sell. I think if Vaughan leaves it will because he wants away not because we have to sell him but I doubt any league two team can afford his wages apart from Salford maybe

    So if Vaughan goes it will only be because he wants away?

    Easy for the club to make out that's the case.

    As for the wages bit you mentioned. You would have said the same about Doyle last season and what happened? He was loaned out to Swindon.

    They may or may not be garbage, but recent midfielders haven't exactly created a lot of chances. Problem may lie with the right type of service. Doyle probably found that last season

    None of them bar Guthrie are spring chickens but id expect goals from them if the service was there. Donaldson not so much a goal threat but did hold the ball up well. Just depends on what other players come in and how McCall fits them into a playing structure. Under Bowyer they stood no chance, it was all about worry about the opposition.
