Just watched goals, Akpan into back line? Awful

O'Connor does a lot of shouting but not a lot of defending. Wood made some poor mistakes but hes a young inexperienced left back being asked to play at Right back.

Good job we have a good midfield and great front line.

I've never in my life written of a season in October but that's where I'm at right now.

No amount of transfer windows can fix this mess. I'd be looking to ship out 9 or 10 (an insane number, I know) and bring in 10+. Akpan and Wright first out the door please.

 

Didn't watch it, won't be watching next week etc. but I'd say it's pointless picking individuals out to blame. We just have a joke of a squad not up to the next not much else can be said.

Fair enough losing but not even trying is what disgusts me. Especially for those last couple of goals. Shocking.

 

Not suprised we got battered. You only need to see them play to see there is no hope at the moment. The collapse is just a symptom of their being no leaders and just no substance about this lot.

 

The only one who I think might escape much of the criticism is O'Donnell (and possibly L O'B). O'Donnell looked crushed as he came over at the end.

 

I've remarked in various posts that O'Donnell is the only one that consistently emerges with credit and the only one that looks to have any leadership about him. It's hard to be harsh with the Wood's and O'Briens, but we do have some experience out there, just they are crap. Maybe all on the downgrade? O'Donnell is maybe just keeping his level up so he gets a move away eventually.

@Offside have you ever known a side that is more lacklustre and soft and dare not even put a takle in. This squad is shite. The bench today is abysmal those young lads on the bench must be thinking if this is the preference well I'm fecked in football Hopkin quoted if senior players aren't up to it I'll play the youngsters. It's about time he played them because the senior players are shite.

 

Problem is ( has i see it anyway ) , these kids could have their careers ruined , playing alongside " seasoned pro's " who arn't pulling their weight . I 've been going years but have never ever witnessed abject surrender like we see week in week out , we've never really been a creative team ( 1 or 2 notable exceptions ) but we've always had heart and put in a shift . I despair Steve and have serious doubt's about the future of our club . I will attend next week but only to see the air display , after that ?, not sure i will go again this season , thank you Rahic and co .

I've started to wonder if the injured players don't want to get fit and have to play.The squad have moved on and down to a new low.When we concede now I've stopped getting that gut feeling and am inured to it now and even expect it.

Saturday we were up against a team with similar shocking form,if we can't get something against a team with all the similar pressures and rock bottom confidence,then what hope is there when they thrash us?

I noticed in TA pic Jack Paynes boots were Blue with white stripes.Is this a hudders conspiracy? Just a thought.

Well,as for being cut adrift,I think it's looking more likely.Plymouth won again,that's 7 goals in two games and remember last season,they started slow but went on a run and finished top half as I remember.

It will take a miracle I feel and maybe we've exhausted our ration of late? Here's hoping.....
