On the train back. Nothing positive to add to my first half assessment, the second half was truly awful.

The Gills won't have an easier half of football all season.

No shots at their goal, long ball to nobody most of the time.

The worst part was the total collapse of our defence. Opposition players running at will through us with time to pass or shoot.

Akpan switched to central defence and looked even worse there.

Gillingham are a very poor side as we showed first half but we are absolutely terrible on the second half showing.

I'll put the clock back 1 hour tonight. Edin's put the Club back 115 years!

 

That man should hang his head in shame. Destroying a professional club. He should never return.

This reversal started last December when McCall who had worked wonders with a weak squad was sacked, Grayson took over and couldn't address the situation we then make a youth team coach into head coach and bring in some players who to be fair look the part, Collins fails (there's a surprise) Hopkin is appointed but not merely have we seen those players were poor but Hopkin had inherited an injury ravaged squad to start with.
So yes up to a point the coach/manager can't be absolved of any guilt but as others have stated Pep would struggle with this group of gutless players.
Never out of the T&A telling us they are ready to step up ETC, just shut TFU and get your heads down and grind a few results out, if not for personal pride for the very people who pay your wages.
Grayson knew we were a basket case and walked then we cant appoint any of the applicants who applied for the job just how many told Edin no thanks (although he said no one turned us down) I don't believe him that says it all to me.

 

He's certainly taken our club back 3 years.

IMHO he should call Rupp on the 'phone and say "If Edin stays, I go"
Somehow I doubt that would be the 1st time Rupp has heard that from a manager.
Wake up Rupp. The only constant in this utter mess is Edin.

To be honest, it started after the defeat at Wembley in my opinion.
