    Utter tripe Parky has just kept Bolton in the championship against all odds. But have you forgotten we are in league one where his recordis brilliant

    Last season we had an outstanding defensive record- which is exactly what a typical PP team would have, and we were also poor upfront- just as we were under PP. I reckon the results would have similar tbh.

    Parky knew how to win close matches we drew to many last season

    As I say, you rewrite history to suit yourself Park. You are a hypocrite.

    Stuart McCall’s first spell at City was not good enough. He admitted so and walked.

    Parkinson has struggled every season he has been in the Championship/tier2.

    You agree McCall should have been sacked because of his one poor spell this season.

    Yet you never said the same when Parkinson went through an equally poor run.

    You mention Parkinson’s record in L1. With us, he managed;
    - 5th (beaten semi-finalists)
    - 7th
    - 11th

    McCall’s record with us in L1;
    - 6th (when sacked)
    - 5th (beaten finalists)

    Parkinson’s other record in L1;
    - 11th (with Colchester) in 2003/04
    - 15th (with Colchester) in 2004/05
    - 2nd (with Colchester) in 2005/06
    (So one good season out of the 3?)

    - 4th (beaten semi-finalists with Charlton) in 2009/10
    - 5th (when sacked at Charlton) in 2010/11

    So the big question is, do you think it unfair that Charlton sacked him when they were 5th? You say he has a good record in L1, but he was sacked when 5th, so the board clearly didn’t agree with you

    Bloody hell what long winded crap. You put his league one record deliberately in reverse he improved every year. Forget to mention that Colchester were one of the lowest supported team in the league when he won them promotion to the championship. You forgot to mention Bolton’s promotion from league one last year. And what about all the other stuff promotion from league two brilliant cup runs and the improvement of our finaces.
    Yes he has had the odd failure it’s football but his record is brilliant and of course I would have him back in a heartbeat

    I didn’t mention his League1 success at Bolton because everyone knows that. As for his success in L2 and cup runs, why would I bring those up? You only mentioned “we are in League1, where his record is brilliant”...!

    The fact remains that you want to keep beating McCall up for his 1st spell in charge and also his disastrous 5wks at the start of this year. But you refuse to acknowledge that Parkinson had similar ‘failures’ too.

    And whilst Parkinson’s lower league record is impressive, his Championship (tier2) record can hardly be described as ‘brilliant’.

    As I keep saying, you are a hypocrite Park and as you will never admit to this, I’ll leave it there

    Kept them in the championship? Thats a laugh. They were dead and buried and got a massive bit of luck yesterday getting the 2 very late goals that cruelly sent Burton down. You are implying this is Parky's brilliant management - that is a joke that would damage the most respected poster's credibility.

    Got luck? Rubish they won a vital match. After a poor start Bolton were progressing up the league until his players were sold from under him in January

    Even you have to admit they got the rub of the green yesterday, they were doomed with 5 minutes to go. Great finish for the fans but their last game against Burton the fans wanted him out.

    TBF, the season is judged over 46 games and not just the final game. He did keep them up.

    However, Park only posts what facts he wants to believe. Yes, they’re under a transfer embargo but they still paid money for Wilbraham and signed quite a few players on free transfers too. And let’s not forget the loans of the likes of Burke, Cullen, Flanagan, Armstrong and Clough. Whilst the only player he lost was Madine, who admittedly was their top striker at the time

    But how many games have they lost where they should’ve won?

    At the end of the day, the table shows where they deserved to finish and that’s outside the drop zone.

    So you think goals in the 87th & 88th minutes of that game do not indicate luck but they were just part of the genius plan of the manager? Like I said that is stretching your credibility.
    They won a vital match - that bit I agree with. However, putting it down to managerial genius is bonkers. Parky Was three minutes away from being the butt of all our jokes!

    I know, the way he goes on you'd think Parky was having to play the junior side every week. Yes he lost Madine in January but he still had some very talented players at his disposal.

    They still want him out now and will be very disappointed to still have him next season too. Very lucky escape.

    They kept fighting till the end like all Parky’s team and got their reward. Their heads could have gone down and they could have given up, they didn’t and they will be still in the Championship next season.By the way I don’t give a damm about Bolton but I am pleased for Parky because I don’t take success for granted and he gave us some great times

    The only issue is the league table after 46 games. That reads Bolton staying up and burton going down. Over a season luck evens itself out

    Thats a myth, the old one that luck evens itself out. Better off saying you make your own luck, if you make more than your competitors then good luck to you.

    Ok so you make your own luck, scoring twice in the last two minutes being a perfect example. Conceding on the final minute being the opposite

    I actually thought it was Barnsley who would have stayed up, if Bolton had not won, given Burton’’s worse goal average.
