    Thank you for the analysis, but nope I'm not mistaking lack of effort for lack of confidence.

    Interesting you say that, though, as it sounds suspiciously like an excuse.... Is an excuse required if you think he works super hard...?

    So you think Doyle hasn’t been putting the effort in during our poor run Jon? I don’t make excuses for players, if a player isn’t pulling his weight its pretty apparent. You seem to be linking Doyles run of poor form with lack of effort and that his upturn in form is a result of more effort. I can say i have not seen a game this season where Doyle hasn’t put the effort in. I’ve seen him have poor performances but that wasn’t a result of lack of effort.

    He praises all the front three. It's nothing to do with "an arm round a player".

    He praises him for working hard because he, er, works hard. It's really not that complicated.

    Doyle was class against Scunny. Hard work and class and going to Miller and saying well done when he got subbed was ‘class’

    Doyle is decent. Very happy with him

    It's not difficult, I believe it might also be the last we've seen of the lad along with Gibson, Robinson, Jones, Reeves, Wright, Seedorf.

    Hmm imagine if teams got players on loan that looked good on paper but turned out to lack fitness and form. No discernable reason except their home team seem to have a common problem
