Deserved that goal today. The lad has worked his bollocks off the last few weeks in a role that was an unenviable task a month or two back, now we are playing the ball to feet and down the lines rather than hoofing it long we are seeing a different player to the one that took a lot of stick in the first half of the season.
Pretty much all the team has taken flak for what has been a shocking 2018 upto a month ago but this lad took more than his fair share, no player has deserved a goal more for his efforts.

Great strike from a fantastic athlete with genuine work ethic - he led the line when we turned the corner, and works twice as hard as Doyle.

He lacks the ability, however, to match an Eoin Doyle or to make it at Middlesbrough, so if he's going spare, I'd be delighted if we signed him up!

Don’t need him. We’ve got Omari Patrick. When Hopkin and our new superman fitness coach get their hands on him, they’ll turn him into the next Mbappe.

You aren't the only one. Yeovil seem to have forgotten they have him on loan.

He does a lot of work that goes unnoticed. In particular his runs create loads of space for the likes of LOB and Payne by drawing defenders away from them. He's a big part of why these players are doing so well.

Not wanting to change the subject of the thread, but I have been wondering the same. Is he injured or just not been selected in the match day squad, anyone know?
Similarly noticed McCarten is on and off the bench at Lincoln. Is this fitness or form?

Strange how every week Hopkin seems to praise the workrate and movement of Doyle in every post match interview.

Patrick just isn’t scoring at Yeovil. He’s back next month.

Only once, at Sunderland, since he came back have i thought he looked off it. Every other game hes worked his socks off and is scoring.

But not the others who work harder?

Do you think he may need an arm around him?

Different tactics for different players, I'd imagine, just my thoughts on that.

No player works harder than Doyle, not sure where the idea that Doyle doesn’t work hard comes from?

Having just scanned the Lincoln forum, my inference is more the former - seems they’re keen to keep him.

Thought as much. I’d be very very surprised if we could get even half of what we paid back, especially to a league two club.

Back to the original thread, perhaps also cements the impact of Hopkins management. It’s been widely reported Miller went in asking what more he can do. Improved performances and more importantly goals, reflect well on good management but also fantastic attitude and work ethic from Miller. Given his experience and scoring record at this level for a young age via loans, and the league position of his current contractual club, would it be crazy to suggest we might be in for him at the end of the season idea he continues in current form?

Genuinely find that bizarre, have to completely disagree.

    Fair enough though.

I have to agree with that. Yesterday summed him up. He works his balls off. The problem for most of the season is that his effort has been aimless. He's been chasing lost causes and fronting an unfit and disjointed side.

No criticism of the work rate for any player in this side - Not now.

I’ve been through this one before, you’re mistaking ‘lack of effort’ for ‘ lack of confidence’. At no time this season has Eoin Doyle not put in a shift. His effort yesterday was no different to the effort he puts in to other games. When results go your way it looks like you are putting in more effort but thats not the case, its just that your effort is rewarded with success rather than failure. People used to make the same mistake with Charlie Wyke.

You get it, its easy to think that when a player has a good game its because he is putting in more effort. Thats not really the case.
