I saw a video clip last night (might have even been on here) of a black store owner in Minneapolis, who's business had been looted and burned to the ground as part of the protests. A working class black man, who'd fought to build and maintain a living for himself. Yeah, he's the real enemy isn't he?

It's this whole thing that's built up around the' white man' that somewhat irks me. But then I guess I've missed out on this privileged life I'm alleged to have had along with the rest of the white population. But I've made the cardinal sin of being born white so I must be racist by association.

Its appalling what happend in Minneapolis I can't find where I've condoned it, but the video I posted said it all the mobs rioting didnt care if it was a fellow blackmans living that was going up in smoke.
And as for the picture of protesters in London I questioned why they werent out in the streets with regards the human rights in the countries I used as examples.
Taking life is terrible be it a policeman who thinks he can treat a black man differently to a white or countries that take lives to control its population, rule by fear in many cases.

That video is from the LA riots in 92 but the principal is still very much the same.

    *Tin foil hat time*
Seems convenient timing all these “riots” when we have an election coming up in the US for someone who is hated by the majority yet got into power. Doing everything in their collective power to ensure he doesn’t get a second term. Lives and businesses lost are nothing to them if they don’t want trump in again. You only have to look at the videos of undercover cops smashing windows with a hammer. A lot of the rioters from out of state?

I’ll take it off for now

under cover and covert policing have been a stable tool of the Police for many a year especially within protest groups, So no surprise if the police in America do the same

    And you tackle issues.

    This matter is serious.

Lets's not make it just an US thing. In the U.K. It's a problem and not enough black people are in top jobs.

Of course its serious, that's why he's being charged with murder and his wife is divorcing him.

What's a problem in the UK? Police killing civilians? Since when? It happens, thankfully, very, very rarely.

Rubbish, Home secretary, ex chancellor, Mayor of London for starters, If I were ever in a position to make an appointment then talent and ability comes a million miles before colour or gender....

For it to have been a higher degree, I think premeditation would have had to be established. The charge looks right.

What does the killing of a US citizen by a US police officer have to do with the number of black people in top jobs in this country? The racial history in the US and the UK are very different. We've never been a less racist country than we are now. Any instances of racism are generally taken very seriously. But I think the whole approach to 'equality' is being warped now - people are being divided and categorized more than ever. Terms like 'black lives matter' don't help. They emphasise race. All lives matter.

Its become impossible to have a sensible and challenging conversation about things like race and gender. So many people are eager to take offence, freedom and thought and speech has been compromised and there's a real fear that people will lose their jobs or be prosecuted for a well intentioned, honest remark that's taken 'offensively' by someone.

Can you explain just what this post has to do with this thread about a blackman getting murdered in Minneapolis ?.

Just read an article explaining the Liverpool tribute so now it makes more sense.
