WHAT BIT UNTIL THE END OF THE SEASON DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?

 

The bit where we appoint someone crap just so we can give them a longer deal?

 

Because he looks like a middle aged accountant and what we need is a big fat horrible bastard, correct!

 

Parker seems to think he'll be taking training so I'd suspect it'll be announced soon.

 

So come the summer we will have no manager, No chairman as Rhodes leaves, An owner who has no interest in football and wants to sell and leave, Only Bradford City could allow this situation to develop,

 

Please dont refer to me as "people", of course with him having the experiance of taking his team out of league two has got to be a possitive.

And to be fair when I interviewed him at half time at the Coventry game as I said he's well aware of the situation at Valley Parade, and the main problem has been kicked out, win win mate.

The same arguement applies if Kewell or any of the others are appointed.

Well we will have to get behind him and give him every chance, His overall win record is below average and will have to improve a lot to give us any chance of avoiding the drop, Cannot help but think a poor decision by a poor Chairman

You’re missing the point. He will be a fantastic appointment for when we are in League Two and he’s the manager of Blackpool.

"Burnt Out" - Onside? Most of the players have not put in the effort tequired or have been injured to be this season.
If the manager appointment is only to the end of the season - no lesson learned from the Grayson appointment? I want to see the reason why. If Rupp and Rhodes are wanting comittment from the fans to purchase season tickets - this move is hardly to give them confidence. I can see an upsurge in flexi tickets being bought instead of season tickets and therefore a drop in upfront income to assemble a new squad. What a bad season this has been on a number of fronts. It is poor when the highlight is the removal of Rahic.

 

Sounds very simplistic like buying a new pair of shoes
New owner, New CEO, New Manager and new players all we need is a new ground to complete the set

I didn’t mean physically, they are all physically fit. They have collectively ‘forgotten’ how to win, how to counter what the opposition does. It is in their head, because we know they can do it.

 

The biggest thing in any team is confidence, We have very little in the team and it is showing when good players under perform, The biggest task the new manager has is to rebuild and instil confidence in the players to perform at the best they can, It needs a strong personality to do this and lift a team off the floor, Lets hope we have made the right choice

 

I agree, in principle, with your post. However, Parker did state initially. So if the guy improves City, he gets a longer contract ........... If he doesn't - He's out ? WIN / WIN for me.

 

I watched the lowlights so not the full match. It was awful/shocking to watch them resign themself to not getting anything. I don’t think it is always obvious what effort is being put in tbh. What has happened is that the confidence in their ability as a professional footballer has gone, their ability as a team to get a result has also gone. I suppose it has been obvious all season the fact that if the opposition go in front we are done. What has happened off the field has affected them no doubt about it. The effect of a Rahic leaving had a positive effect on everyone, so results improved. Not sure what happened post mini holiday, but something did because we are back to how they were playing.

That is why I don’t think it matters who comes in, unless the new manager can find a way to instill confidence and commitment to the cause.
