There's nothing sustainable about what we're doing. Its decline, not stability.
I'm not entirely sure we have a future. Not a meaningful one anyway. And certainly not without a completely new injection of ownership, funding and ambition.
We're losing the next generation of potential fans; kids, teenagers and young adults all have way more options for how they spend their time nowadays. If we don't sort our sh*t out soon, we're in big trouble.
The prospects of the club mirror those of the city. Grim.

The future of club is unfortunately in the hands of the disinterested Rupp and the out-of-his-depth Sparks. Under their leadership, it will be more of the same imo with no change in our direction and little ambition to do better. There'll be lots of fine words from Sparks at some point but words on their own don't bring success.
I had hoped that after Saturday's game, Rupp might have come away with a better understanding of how the fans feel about the direction of the club. I had half expected some kind of statement from the club and Rupp in particular, explaining their view of things and giving some impetus prior to the next home game as well as recognising that fans will need some encouragement to renew their season tickets. There's still time of course but given how the club has failed to respond in any positive way to the messages from the new Independent Supporters Group, I'm less confident that it will happen.bantam2708, borderlescott, Bantamsteve and 10 others like this. -
Club needs investment in its infrastructure to enable a stable future. The sustainability aspect is great but in football it seems you have to run just to stand still.
Accrington are perhaps a different type of a club, a community club, but if you look at what an owner with a vision, passion and a willingness to build a future can do, with that City would flourish. He doesn’t want to throw money away, but he sees himself as the guardian of the club for the next generation.
City don’t have that, they seem to live from season to season. They can manage with a distant owner if the local management has the vision and probably the headspace to think longer term than balancing the books for the season.
On the current trajectory I’d see the club having a difficult 24/25 season, flirting with relegation in 25/26 and falling out of the league the season after.
There is too much apathy around the place in my opinion. The issue of the letters not being accepted is an odd one. Companies fall over themselves these days to get feedback and reviews. The optics of ignoring such a document are so poor it makes me wonder what really happened, wrong address? Staff member ignored it? Who knows, but a statement of “ok, I hear you” would have been better. Even if the document had gone straight in the recycling.Jayteebee, bailiff bridge bantam, bantam2708 and 8 others like this. -

The future of our club. Sparks doesn't think more than 10 minute ahead of the decision he has made.
MK Dons are 4th by sacking the manager we have now and replacing him with the week with a plan and a direction.
Sparks sacked Hughes without a plan of what to do next and then come out after we know we have been turned down by one manager to claim he got his first choice.
This is who is making the decisions at our club and we wonder why the club looks utterly clueless as it rattles round the middle of League 2.bantam2708, borderlescott, Leeds Bantam and 7 others like this. -

To be perfectly honest, if Ryan Sparks remains at this club much longer then we have no future at all. He is a complete and utter waste of space and so far out of his depth he might as well be Jules Verne. The man has no idea about how to upwardly manage a business and should stick to managing social media accounts.
Rupp may not be interested, but I believe if we had a CEO who could set a clear, concise and forward thinking agenda for this club, then the Rupp issue wouldn't hold us back.
If Sparks goes we have a future, if he stays we will be in the National League within three seasons. He's given five managers contracts since 2021 and the only one whose come anywhere near success bottled it.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... We have little future with a CEO that is totally out of his depth and an amateur racing driver owner that has little if any interest in the club

If I bought a McDonalds franchise, I wouldn't employ to guy on the drive through to run it for me. -

Just like how we made the play off final the year after these clowns took over. The club continues on it's path and takes a bit of time to change, either up or down.
I can see Carlisle finishing in a higher position than us next season in our current scenarios.Rogered Tart, vladimir and Onside like this. -
My lad is also losing interest and faith he started watching during parky time. So the best years and unfortunately been shit ever since. With the occasional good result and last season’s highs.

Under this leadership the club has no future, like some have said if there is no investment soon then within 3 years we'll disappear sad but true. Don't be surprised if we are in a relegation battle this time next year unless of course if Rupp sells up and Sparks is sigining on!

We are doomed I tell ye (said in the accent of the chap from Dad's Army). The decline is so absolute another flirt with relegation from the league is inevitable if we retain the current ownership and management structure.
New owner with interest in the club and a capable CEO (why o why must Nigel Clebbins - a Wakey chap run Carlisle) is a must before we sink without trace.
I DONT SEE IT THOUGH. Really really sad :-(Keefly Bantam and Onside like this. -

Not sure there was total apathy on Saturday, I think it only really became apparent that rupp was in the ground after the majority had left for home
