Bit of open question as I'm sat here having my dinner and my mind wanders. What is the future? What exactly are we and what is the vision of where this club might be in say 10 years time? After seeing Rupp at the game in Saturday and the apathy shown towards his appearance do our fans really care what happens or to use a phrase 'are.they really.just happy to have a club to support'
I'll be honest I usually have some sort of answer but as I sit here I don't really know.
I walked away from VP on Saturday and it didn't really bother me, maybe I've become as apathetic as others after years of watching utter dross.

There's nothing sustainable about what we're doing. Its decline, not stability.

I'm not entirely sure we have a future. Not a meaningful one anyway. And certainly not without a completely new injection of ownership, funding and ambition.

We're losing the next generation of potential fans; kids, teenagers and young adults all have way more options for how they spend their time nowadays. If we don't sort our sh*t out soon, we're in big trouble.

The prospects of the club mirror those of the city. Grim.

The future of our club. Sparks doesn't think more than 10 minute ahead of the decision he has made.

MK Dons are 4th by sacking the manager we have now and replacing him with the week with a plan and a direction.

Sparks sacked Hughes without a plan of what to do next and then come out after we know we have been turned down by one manager to claim he got his first choice.

This is who is making the decisions at our club and we wonder why the club looks utterly clueless as it rattles round the middle of League 2.

Thinking that right now. Had my lad with me on Saturday (back from University) and this isn't the club I brought him to over ten years ago. I understand we have no devine right to success but we got more joy watching the fa cup games over the weekend. Sport is all about entertainment and the big occasions these days and you have to give your paying audience what they desire.

My daughter didn't want to attend the game last Tuesday. She said it was boring on Saturday and she doesn't want to go on Tuesday. Previously she marked them down on the calendar and was ready to go eager hours in advance. I'm sure she isn't the only one who would rather play fortnite, that watch complete Shizzle.

My lad is also losing interest and faith he started watching during parky time. So the best years and unfortunately been shit ever since. With the occasional good result and last season’s highs.

My lad will be 19 in July, he has been coming with me since he was 7 (a few games after we beat Arsenal in the League cup game). It is firmly in his blood now, and although he's generally a moody little sod for about an hour after we lose a game, he will never give up even if we were relegated. But he is probably in a minority. I see "the next generation" sat around us on matchday, bored shitless and disinterested, then they don't come for a couple more games, come once, repeat repeat repeat. No doubt the majority of them won't renew their season tickets, which is an absolute tragedy, not just for the club, but for those kids. Being put off something they totally loved doing is a disgrace, and something that arrogant c*nt Sparks refuses to acknowledge. I would give that guy such a piece of my mind if I were to ever run into him, the damage him & his cronies have done to our club will take 25+ years to repair

Not sure there was total apathy on Saturday, I think it only really became apparent that rupp was in the ground after the majority had left for home

The future of club is unfortunately in the hands of the disinterested Rupp and the out-of-his-depth Sparks. Under their leadership, it will be more of the same imo with no change in our direction and little ambition to do better. There'll be lots of fine words from Sparks at some point but words on their own don't bring success.

I had hoped that after Saturday's game, Rupp might have come away with a better understanding of how the fans feel about the direction of the club. I had half expected some kind of statement from the club and Rupp in particular, explaining their view of things and giving some impetus prior to the next home game as well as recognising that fans will need some encouragement to renew their season tickets. There's still time of course but given how the club has failed to respond in any positive way to the messages from the new Independent Supporters Group, I'm less confident that it will happen.

Under this leadership the club has no future, like some have said if there is no investment soon then within 3 years we'll disappear :( sad but true. Don't be surprised if we are in a relegation battle this time next year unless of course if Rupp sells up and Sparks is sigining on!

To be perfectly honest, if Ryan Sparks remains at this club much longer then we have no future at all. He is a complete and utter waste of space and so far out of his depth he might as well be Jules Verne. The man has no idea about how to upwardly manage a business and should stick to managing social media accounts.

Rupp may not be interested, but I believe if we had a CEO who could set a clear, concise and forward thinking agenda for this club, then the Rupp issue wouldn't hold us back.

If Sparks goes we have a future, if he stays we will be in the National League within three seasons. He's given five managers contracts since 2021 and the only one whose come anywhere near success bottled it.

We have little future with a CEO that is totally out of his depth and an amateur racing driver owner that has little if any interest in the club

You can work with distant owner if someone competent is running the show which is why it is so baffling that Rupp simply doesn't seem to care. I think there will be many owners who aren't hands on and watch from afar but after sticking X amount of cash in a business, they usually have someone running it who knows what they are doing not the social media guy.

If I bought a McDonalds franchise, I wouldn't employ to guy on the drive through to run it for me.

Look at Wrexham. The Hollywood guys are hardly there but they have our ex manager and CEO running the show.

We are doomed I tell ye (said in the accent of the chap from Dad's Army). The decline is so absolute another flirt with relegation from the league is inevitable if we retain the current ownership and management structure.

New owner with interest in the club and a capable CEO (why o why must Nigel Clebbins - a Wakey chap run Carlisle) is a must before we sink without trace.

I DONT SEE IT THOUGH. Really really sad :-(

Is that the Carlisle who despite money being putting in are sinking faster than the titanic

Thats not a fault of the new owners for Christ sake.Thats because they weren't really good enough to go up, this now comes to the surface. The new owners haven't had time to implement the changes they need to make to give them a chance of establishing themselves in league 1. Likewise if we had been that team that had gone up we'd have come straight back down as well due to numerous shortcomings.

They took over mid season when the damage for this season had already been done.

Just like how we made the play off final the year after these clowns took over. The club continues on it's path and takes a bit of time to change, either up or down.

I can see Carlisle finishing in a higher position than us next season in our current scenarios.

Does Rupp not care, or is he being blindsided by someone who is giving him a completely different picture to the reality ?

If that's the case then surely Saturday will have opened his eyes to that and he will now know how much of a shitstorm we are in.
