Cook lost half a stone from the start of his run up to striking the ball.

After watching another fantastic display from Halliday and another solid midfield performance from Smallwood I have to ask the questions of Hughes. What an earth were you thinking dropping Halliday and what the hell did you do to make Smallwood look so bad?

Was a good performance from us tonight. As a City fan, playing a team destined for relegation tends to be a nailed on loss. Glad we didn't take our foot off the gas after scoring first. We pressed high, forced FGR into mistakes, and capitalised from them. The system seems to work well. We have bodies in the midfield, we can stretch the play through our full backs, our defence is good in the air an the burden of carrying the front line doesn't solely lie on Cook's shoulders
In regards to Taylor, It was a rash challenge, to my memory, it was from a mistake of his own making. It was a red, Don't be fooled into thinking Platt is quick enough to get across, as for Richards, he was on the wrong side of the attacker and was never getting in front. Taylor had a decent game, im not his biggest fan, but I don't see the logic in constantly bashing our players. If they were shit then fair play, but baring a few wayward passes an being caught out of position once or twice, he had a decent gameOnside, Kevin1954, Foghornleghorn and 5 others like this. -

Early days but looking like the Alexander/Lucketti training regimes and their understanding of league 2 are having positive effects on this team.

Well what a turn around since half time at Notts Co. 11 goals and 1 conceded in league and Cup.
Well done to the team for comfortably negotiating a potential banana skin.
Amazing to think many were either writing season off or predicting a relegation battle only 10 days ago.
Lots of improvement still needed, but at least we are back in the running to mount a play off challenge.

Let's just be glad we've added some points to the tally for now.
I've not really seen anything in the two league games to suggest we're up, up and away, but running out 3-0 winners against a side in trouble is always nice. We weren't beating the stragglers under Hughes, but we did tonight, so well done all involved.1975citygent, Bantam75, Wakefield Bantam and 3 others like this. -
I really don't get this obsession with Pointon. Pep never plays his youngsters all the time, saying that how the players fit into his system is most important. Virtually every manager I've heard, says you can't play them all the time - they often need a rest, when they don't realise it.
It's not as though Pointon has been some kind of vibrant match winner. He certainly was important in the Swindon game, but understandably is still a bit green occasionally.
Pointon's time will come. Not unlike what happened with Andy O'Brien - who was one of the junior members of the 1999 promotion team and then came into his own at a higher level.
Finally, remember Parky dumping Liam Moore, stating that a L2 scrap wasn't the place for him. -

Admittedly he’s looked a bit off it in the last couple of games but Osadebe hasn’t looked on it at all this season.

Even if cook gets the golden boot again this season, Halliday will win POTS hands down if he carries on like he has done for the past few months
