He's pretty slow, then, because this is the second time he's worked with Derek Adams.

I am sure that Adams still thinks he is bigger than Bradford City and its fans. He probably still doesn't understand that as a leader of a team, he is actually part of that team.

Ah well, he's enjoying himself back at Morecambe. He even pulled out the classic "we had as many shots as them (they didn't) and as many on target as them (equal)" line the other week.

Who knows if there were similar issues with players at Plymouth. Maybe Ryan Sparks treating him like a messiah went to his head and he felt he could behave how he wanted?

Even if he was like that at Plymouth maybe Canavan reacted differently as he was now a senior pro and club captain and felt that was part of his role?

I am afraid I share @Fordy117@Fordy117 view of our ex manager. He was full of the “big I am” when he arrived. I didn’t like his style of football, and I was bracing myself for a season of crap, but I would have endured it if we had promotion.

When we saw match after match of mediocrity at best and down right awful for the majority he really started to get on my nerves. Blaming anybody and everybody for what was happening the “mythical behind the scenes at Bradford City” the nod nod wink wink we all know why Bradford have had all these managers was the end for me. Then he gets rid of the Captain of the team, for probably telling him how it is! I was incensed not because Canavan was a worldie but he was a steady CB at this level and it would leave us short.

It has given me great satisfaction referring to him as EX manager. The difference between him and MH is unrecognisable. The interesting fact is that MH is the real deal and is the big manager, but not once has he referred to his previous experience, he looks like he is enjoying himself and backs the players. I am absolutely amazed at what he has done in such a short period of time.

Agree completely. I stopped listening to him weeks ago as I had been watching different games to him. We have got some good players who I think will now be allowed to express themselves rather than sending aimless punts to the head of the opposing cbs. A few weeks ago, we played against a 40 year old cb and not once was he pulled out of his comfort zone. Cooke has looked a shadow of the player he was at the start of the season and perhaps he and others will be allowed to flourish.
