Apart from "autobiographies" which I tend to buy out of habit, there are some really good reads
Can recommend
"Left Foot Forward" - Gary Nelson ex Charlton and a few other clubs, life as a lower league player in the 90s, and "Left Foot in the Grave" when he finished career at Torquay.
"The Miracle of Castel di Sangro" how a village team got themselves into Serie B in the 90s
"Inverting the Pyramid" is a good read on tacticsStop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...SOUTHSAXON and SimonW like this. -

How to be a Footballer, by Peter Crouch.
Probably a very obvious suggestion but a good one nonetheless.
It's not exactly War and Peace, admittedly, but it does lift the lid on the bizarre mentalities of many top level professional footballers in the Premier League era; often hilariously so.Fools Gold and The Original EB like this. -

A genuinely interesting review of football tactics over the last 30 years or so. Different managers have their own sections. Sadly none of our managers get a chapterInterested Bystander likes this. -

Inverting the Pyramid is highly recommended by me. Best insomnia cure I've ever used. Any time I'm struggling to drop off I put that on the kindle and I'm dozing off in no time. Borrrrrrring.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand... -
