Just because someone doesn't contribute to a fly over, constantly tell people to get Edin out and join in with all (none so far) protests doesn't mean they don't want him out and for the team to start picking up points.

Your statement is on a par with anything you slate Park for. You've just fallen into the same trap that he has.

If you read my post again, I said "anyone not THINKING along the lines of protest, demonstration and removing edin from his position"
if someone wants him out - theyre thinking along those lines, are they not?

so they wouldn't be someone included in what I said.

We Bradford City fans come in all shapes and sizes, different coloured skins, some attend all games some struggle to get to games, but we all have one thing in common and that is the ongoing support and sucsess of our club players and manager.
Because someone has not donated doesn't make them less of a fan than me, just as those who did donate are no better, do I think it will maks any differance, I dont know but Im not sure doing nothing is the answer.
Edin called a fans forum in January/ February and stated at said forum we should do it more regularly, yet even though so far this season is a disaster Edin has not offered open communication they promised when they bought our club, yes more soundbites.
I accept any fans forum would be difficult to front as co-owner but you cant take the accolades as both did at Fleetwood and Wembley yet when things start going wrong hide behind a club statement, the likes of Stafford & Geoff would have gone in front of fans taken the flack but had the majority eating out of their hands by the end of the forum.

The 'hard core' are the fans that won't buy tickets. Unfortunately it's the ones who fear an alternative Saturday afternoon without football who will let the side down. The committed City fans will make the sacrifice.

if we get relegated our gates could be sub 5000.

they'd have to knock prices back down to 99 quid to tempt pretty much anyone.

if Rahic is still here they could offer to pay me to have a season ticket and i'd say no.

I've no doubt in my mind that this would force Rupp into a change. Anyone buying a season ticket next year will be sponsoring a continuation of what we have had this year.

Richmond was as vocal as ever during the nearly relegation season under Kamara. It was the togetherness and positive atmosphere that got us over the line. I Don't remember the players getting much stick, despite some poor displays.

Richmond did back his Manager with Pepper and Blake, to help him out.

You would have thought that anyone with any investment would be projecting future income and expenditure, especially with January coming up and possibly money going out. Rupp, you would have thought, would be looking at the situation and predicting what they will spend in Jan, what income will be made from season tickets if we stay up and also if we go down. The predictions won't look good. If we have 15,000 st's this year and only have at best 7,000 if we go down he's looking at a huge loss in income in st's alone - surely this has to make him react to this before his investment properly goes down the pan? The silence from the club is amazing, it's truely baffling.

I think you'll find I'll be delighted if Rahic goes and Rhodes comes in - see my posts on that thread

A year is a short time in a football club. We've had poor spells before, it really is no need to get the suicide pills out.

You mention that you want the right answer. Haven't you partially got it? A manager who simply has told Rahic that he's in charge and hence they couldn't be getting that message out if they tried.

Why are we protesting, when some of the changes we wanted have been put in place? It's like we have to keep punishing ourselves for the past mistakes and are not prepared to move on and acknowledge that he apologised and so far has kept to his word. Instead he now gets a rocket for staying out of our hair. Hence, why it's obvious he must go - otherwise we'll have no better than a Blackpool existence, due to the constant fighting

Thats fair comment. I’m not concerned either way about the protests as i’m not sure what of any difference it will make. The big problem is still Edin Rahic. I think the vast majority of fans have no confidence in either his decision making or his running of the club. The mistakes he has made weren’t just unlucky, they were decisions that have left us with a real posibility of league 2 football. Honestly, we aren’t bottom because of injuries or bad luck, we are bottom because of the inherently wrong way this club is being run. We should never have been in this position, we aren’t talking hindsight here, we could see this mismanagement unfolding before our very eyes
Football is a tough enough job as it is without making fundamental errors, i’m not sure Rahic knows what it takes to turn it around.

As yet nothing has changed we've had a statement from Stefan saying Hopkin can select his own players but until we actually see what calibre of players are brought in during the January window we have had another promise nothing more.
If I was Hopkin and knew the non-contracted players I was trying to bring in would make a difference and help us start the long climb up the league table I'd be telling who ever was giving him the nod, yes they might be costly short term but we have to make sure we stay in this league, it is then up to Stefan to back him.

A lot less costly than a tumble down to L2
Surely a man of his financial nous would know this
    Or
Is there more to it than meets the eye

As I say as yet it is just words, January will be the time his comments are put to the test, as it was last January, that went well a continual implosion of our club for 10 months.

Big question is why back this Jan and not last Jan
when we were in a much better position to progress
Whatever its too late now apart from building a squad
to get us out of L2

You need to remember even if Rupp wanted to throw money at the situation he can't just do that. The league has financial fair play regulations in place that restricts spending on wages. The rules for anyone who isn't aware are
    • Wages can make up no more than 60% of turnover each week
    • Players aged under 21 and who qualify as Home Grown are exempt from that
From estimates I've seen in various places Citys wage bill is pushing £60k a week and even with the exempt players you are looking at north of £50k a week as the exempt players are largely the lowest paid players. Based on the limited financial results published your FFP cap is unlikely to be higher than £65k a week and when you consider even the level of the 'top' players in the squad see's them in the £2.5-6k a week range and that many of the free agents still without a club are the ones looking for a decent payday (if it was about playing they would have taken offers elsewhere by now) you aren't going to get many in. And you most likely get stuck between a rock and a hard place, if they take some kind of short or rolling contract they will want more for the lack of security but if they take a longer-term deal you are stuck with them if it doesn't work out (and there is usually a reason why they don't have a club after all) and it limits options come jan as you are carrying this player who was signed with more short-term thinking

Of course somethings changed. Edin's having at most minimal input buying players is one, other than to do what a Chairman should do and that's rubber stamp any deals, provided of course they are affordable

Or do you want a statement declaring that he has absolutely nothing to do with player recruitment any longer, to convince you? That clearly could never happen as he has the ultimate financial responsibility

I think it's clear someone like Hopkin won't put up with an ounce of interference. Can't we give Edin credit for once, for at least realising he should stay well clear

OK. They rarely do any good and football is littered with ones that never do any good

ie to get players in we need players out. We might need to wait a week or 2 once the window is open before we can sign any new players.
