Five of the next scheduled games

Had a look at the table tonight actually, and we still have to play 6 of the 9 teams vying for the 2 final play off spots. It could actually still be in our hands should we keep our winning run going, starting at notts at the weekend. Results today weren’t too bad on us.

 

Would have been 8th had we won today and two points behind play offs. It’s definitely on if we could put a run together, particularly at home where unfortunately we often let ourselves down. However there’s about 7 other teams who will fancy going for that last play off spot.

 

Someone pointed out earlier that we have a number of games against those around us, and a number of teams are also faltering. It’s a big disappointment we couldn’t play today but still to play for, but as you say we’ve thrown it away in the past before when getting ourselves in a decent position.

 

What you on about? We play Accrington away in 3 games time. Or am I totally missing your point

We're 18th in the "home" table and have had a dreadful record at VP for years.

I'd say we'd be better off playing them all away.

 

It’s in our hands for sure. If we could put a solid run together then we are definitely in contention. However going into the Christmas period we were on the back of a great run of form and had a great chance of moving into the playoffs if we could maintain it. Look how that turned out.

It great that we have something to fight for as I thought our season was over a few weeks back. I won’t get too excited just yet though.

 

We’re one of 10 teams vying it out for a playoff spot and have a 5 point deficit to overcome, albeit it with a game in hand. It’s great that we’re back in the playoff race but it won’t be easy by any means.

 

Always prefer when we are playing away Dave, weird, it may be a misconception but the last several seasons seem to bring better results?

 

Better if we were in the automatic race.

Being happy being in a play off race shows how far we have fallen.

Oh and currently we are in no race. We are Midtable.

That’s how it’s supposed to work, in our case it never seems to be Park. A draw at home always seems like a defeat in some ways? Perhaps expectations run too high. Win at home and draw away and any team walks the division .

 

See that is @Park bantam he can’t see anything. Blind as a bat.

8 teams ahead of us.
9 teams feeling that they can get on the play offs.

Not, saying we can’t do it but it’s a big ask.

 

My astrologer has foretold we will finish in seventh place. Oh. Hang on, that was last year.
