Finding our identity bring back the colours and stripes

The comparison between those clubs and ours doesn't work. You only have to look through the historical kits website to know why.

Those clubs will have worn stripes 98%-100% of the time since the late 1890s. They are truly synonymous with those styles of kits. In comparison I bet we have worn stripes for 50% of the seasons over the same period. It's not even in the same ball park.

 

It is but it will probably go over the heads of whoever is doing the marketing at VP these days. They seem to miss the simplest of things such as in the Our City campaign. When I first saw that slogan, the thing that jumped straight out at me was how easy it would be to turn it into an even better one with the use of a simple moving graphic - move the y in city to before the o in our, move the t in city to before the c in city and add the letters k,e and t to the end and you get 'our city' transforming into 'your ticket' right before your eyes. I still can't believe they missed this.

Would think that a shirt which is nearest to the kit we wore in 85/87 would sell a lot. As well as being one of our best kits in so much that it has stripes and is the correct colours, it carries a lot of meaning. Perhaps some proceeds of sales donated to the burns unit? Would resonate with older fans, and also reinforce what this club is all about to the newer fans.

Identity is only useful when you can truly relate to it. There's been plenty of times iv'e stayed away from Valley Parade, No shirt design is going to change that.

Im a City fan, doesn't mean I have to choke down the dogsh*t I was fed this season.
