I only play online so haven’t heard Alex Scott, not a big fan of career mode anymore. That said online the servers are terrible I run at between 16-30 ms but it still feels awful. I’ve heard people in Italy and Germany run at around 4-6 ms if there are any tech guys or gals on here who know how to even up the playing field it’d be greatly appreciated. I get over 200 mg on Virgin Media and have never had issues really on other games like Call of Duty, just FIFA every year that said I’m the mug who keeps buying it…

Ping is the time it takes a data packet to be sent from one machine, to another an back again and the biggest impact on ping is distance from the server. So 16ms ping means it’s taking 16m/s to do the round trip. Now there are a number of factors that dictate ping but the biggest is distance, if you are 300miles from the sever and someone else is 3 miles they will almost always have a lower ping.
Now to balance that out games use two matchmaking techniques, either it splits people into regions and then splits those regions into subregions and the server you are on depends which region and sub region you are in. So you would be in Europe and the London SubRegion and you would basically just play other Brits. The other is it finds the sever that’s as in the middle of the two people as it can. Sometimes they will use a combination so when player numbers are high enough it uses the subregions but when player numbers are below a certain amount it starts combining sub regions and finding the server most in the middle. Anything that uses a server in the middle will general benefit mainland Europeans as the UK's location make it difficult. (Not to mention one of the other aspects that impact lag is the cable itself. The undersea cables are often slower than many of the onland ones and are more prone to breaking and data issues, just as the Aussies about their internet because they are reliant to long undersea cables with atleast one being down almost every day. We have a problem in the U.K. with sharks nibbling and damaging the cables connecting us to Europe and America)
TBH though in something like FIFA 16/30ms shouldn’t be a problem, even for a FPS which are more ping impacted that’s low enough where the games ping compensation doesn’t have a problem, it’s as you get into triple figures that it really starts to become noticeable.
Mind you I imagine you are most likely using WiFi right? If so run an Ethernet cable to your router and connect via that. That can cause what can seem like lag bit which isn’t and a Ethernet cable will remove that as it’s a more stable connection that has less issues with interferenceStop hovering to collapse... Mind you it could be worse, the one CBS in the US often use for the Europa League and Europa Conference while having a little more charisma, regularly in the match build-ups when asked about players says she will have to defer her opinion to the rest of the panel as she hasn't seen them play. That's your job FFS
It's a shame Emma Hayes day job prevents her from doing more punditry. While I wasn't the biggest fan of her as a co-commentator (I think she was often being too in-depth and technical for that role but she seems ideal if a woman is needed to be on the punditry team as she has charisma and is knowledgableStop hovering to collapse... Any experiences getting FIFA coins from mmoball.com?
Pretty done with buying FIFA points/Coins. mmoball.com seems to be the cheapest I can find. Anyone have experience with them or know other cheaper and reliable places to buy? -
Do you think them dropping the branding FIFA will effect the sales?

They could call it whatever they want along as they run Ultimate team it will be fine.
To be honest they would be better moving away from the Corrupt Fifa name anyhow. -

It was started as Fifa back in 1994 but there were no licencing at all on that and I think it has just stuck. Just like Madden has stuck for them when realistically it could be called NFL.
The idea of Ultimate team was first brought about outside the Fifa game in Uefa Champions League for the Xbox 360. That was the first game that brought in the idea to buy packs to gain players and build a team. That was back in 2007 and was developed by EA Canada. I think Ultimate team was then introduced as it's own concept within Fifa in Fifa 09.
Do Fifa actually have overall control of football in order to sell image rights? There are many different rights being used, Fifa, Uefa, Individual Leagues, Individual Players who will all have their own rights. Do Fifa give anything to Bradford City for example to give EA the rights to use their badge on the game? I think someone at Fifa has been getting very rich on the back of this and as some are missing out they are starting to call it out. Zaltan who clearly owns his own image rights has asked who gave EA permission to use him in their game.
It was simpler back in the old days of sensible soccer with Alan Sherear -

Players also get paid for playing for the national team and these contracts also grant the nation the rights to use and sell the players rights and to enter competitions the governing bodies also require nations to give them access to the rights.
So what the FIFA licence gives EA its access to the world cup branding, the national team IP's for those taking part and the players in the national teams pool's likeness. It will also give them access to the FIFA World Club Cup and the teams and players involved in that.
However, seeing as most of the IP is covered by another license all they really lose is being able to use the World Cup and Club World cup branding and maybe some international teams so its not a big loss, especially for the price that they pay. Really the only benefit is locking the likes of Konami with PES out of the rights as the way the right are locked up by EA PES has to go club to club to get the rights which are more complicated to do and more expensive, they apparently pay nearly the same as EA pay for the FIFA licence just for Man Utd and Juve licences so it certainly makes it easier for PES to be able to afford more IPStop hovering to collapse... EA are having to remove Maradona from it after losing a court case in Argentina. They bought the rights off someone that didn't have the power to sell them
