Well heres my reply. We should scrape past the Shrews and the Stags;-)

What will be will be!

Poor draw for the club as I don't think many will attend the reply or Mansfield at home but we do have a good chance of going to the 3rd round.

 

Didn't someone say Shrewsbury have 3 on international call ups, as you say take nothing for granted but International call up, suspensions injuries are all part of the game, we've had our share of injuries were at home we must be favorites.

Good draw. Good incentive to beat Shrewsbury. 2 home wins from a possible money spinning 3rd round tie

 

I like Beckles a typical old center half likes a battle.

 

Different rules set by the FA, can't postpone a match due to international. Original ties are purposely scheduled to not be on an international weekend but due to the quick turnarounds needed between rounds they can't schedule it so replays always miss it. The turnaround is probably the big reason why FA don't allow it but the EFL do.

 

My first game

 

If we were to get through to the 3rd round then there is a very good chance we'd be picked up at least for overseas broadcast with the new international broadcast that kicked in last year. Last year 14 of the 32 ties were picked for overseas broadcast (in addition to 6 domestic broadcast games). There's also £6,750 if you get extended highlights on BBC. If the money stays the same as last year then it's 50k for overseas and 150k for domestic. The downside of this is that the game then almost certainly won't kick off at 3pm on Saturday. Of the 32 ties last year 25 ties got some form of TV money so as long as we don't get something like Crawley away there's a very good chance of being on TVespecially with the recent success we've had.

 

What number are we?

 

Altrincham away would be a cracking day out.

 

Although 4 leagues below us, they have won 20 consecutive league and cup games scoring a shed load of goals. Away to them would be a right banana skin

 

If we get through I bet we get another league one
side away.

My ideal would be an away game against non league
opposition as near to home for a good away following
and likely chance of tv money.Mind,BBC don't like us
so need to get Man U away 3rd round and do a Chelsea!

 

Was 2 seasons ago, not quite back to back instead the matches were 3 weeks apart. Lost 1-0 in the league and won 3-1 in the cup which meant playing Yeovil

 

Home to Mansfield if we get through

 

It was never going to be a nice easy non league team was it!

 

Pleased we are home. Need a replay victory so I can plan my Yorkshire weekend at the end of the month.
