Yes it was mate. I was on about both cups really, we beat Everton as well in the league cup in 88/89, forest away in 1994 or 95 was another good night. I appreciate we all want to get out of this division as soon as possible, but you cant beat the excitement of a cheeky cup run which is also good for boosting the promotion finances . Should always put out strongest teams whenever we can imo.

Well done to the youth team who’ve just scored the winner in the 118th minute, in the 2nd round of the fa youth cup.

Are you at the game, you deserve a medal, it's bad enough watching the Harrogate Cup tie on TV pig of a night.

Cant they postpone the game like Colchester have done? Or is the cup run under different rules?

Harrogate's goalscorer Mark Beck is a right handful. He has won every header. Much like James Hanson style of play

    Different rules in the cup.

Cant call a game off for that reason.

Different rules set by the FA, can't postpone a match due to international. Original ties are purposely scheduled to not be on an international weekend but due to the quick turnarounds needed between rounds they can't schedule it so replays always miss it. The turnaround is probably the big reason why FA don't allow it but the EFL do.

Respect mate, as I say it looed terrible conditions and although Ive never been to Harrogate Towns ground I would think there is limited cover.

I remember that, wasn't it a rare Stephen Darby goal which got us back in the game?

if we get to the third round we'd only end up with Barnsley or someone at home and get beat.

If we were to get through to the 3rd round then there is a very good chance we'd be picked up at least for overseas broadcast with the new international broadcast that kicked in last year. Last year 14 of the 32 ties were picked for overseas broadcast (in addition to 6 domestic broadcast games). There's also £6,750 if you get extended highlights on BBC. If the money stays the same as last year then it's 50k for overseas and 150k for domestic. The downside of this is that the game then almost certainly won't kick off at 3pm on Saturday. Of the 32 ties last year 25 ties got some form of TV money so as long as we don't get something like Crawley away there's a very good chance of being on TVespecially with the recent success we've had.
