Any word on if Forest Green are going to sack their manager?

Only drawing with us, then hammered by Lincoln (a catastrophic result remember) - not good enough, eh?

No, I have no idea what you're talking about. I've posted several times in the McCall Out thread, saying he shouldn't be sacked. So I genuinely have no idea what you mean when you talk about my 'constant McCall bashing'

7-0 wins come around so rarely they should be enjoyed regardless of the opposition.

The last 2 games have come at the perfect time because Stuart was under huge pressure and hopefully the big wins build much needed confidence. But the need for fundamental change at this club is apparent. Well, its apparent to most, anyway. Some people may be fickle enough to be swayed heavily by one or two games, whether they be positive or negative, but the recent WOAP article recently sums up how our decline spans much more than a few games or even a single manager. The rot is much deeper.

Any incoming CEO will need to rebuild the club from the top down, and will need to ensure that the manager at the helm is entirely trusted to deliver against their plan. The vast majority of new owners/club CEOs bring their own manager in. Why would it be different here, especially when McCall's contract expires in the summer.

It's not a call for McCall to go - he should stay till the summer. I'm saying it's unlikely he'll be here next season.

Barrow - Wimbledon postponed due to Covid at Wimbledon. Surely Barrow should get a bye like Spurs did in League Cup

I dont see how you can penalise a club for having covid infections.

Tactics were spot on today. Play with width, stretch them and create space.

    Movement today was generally good.

We looked best when we moved the ball quickly. Like the second against Sarfend. Two passes and a shot.

    Samuels had a good spell.

DMH the jury is still out for him for me.

Watt and Cooke had good solid games. Staunton made some good runs.

AOC looks good in that right sided position.

Our best performances have come when the line up beforehand is obviously clear and balanced, with players played in their natural position. It doesn't half give you a better chance of winning when in it's simple and everyone knows their job.

Injuries permitting, I'd like to see that team given a run. Other than perhaps Novak in for Donaldson

Not to take anything at all away from today's result but there was so much space to play with we were passing to players that were unmarked but at least the guys were up for it and it was a joy to watch.....

Was pleased about us putting out a full strength team today. The FA Cup is the world's oldest knock out competition and should be treated accordingly. Good professional job done as well but ended up feeling sorry for Tonbridge at the end, thy deserved a goal.Accept that the last two teams we have played have been poor but hopefully it will boost confidence and help us kick on from here!

Might be harsh on Tonbridge, but it was great to see us being utterly ruthless. Biggest win I have ever seen by far and great for confidence in front of goal in particular with all forwards scoring. Like the look of that midfield 3 with Pritchard, I hope Stu keeps it as is and gives Pritchard more game time as we seem to do better with him in the side.
Austin Samuels - congrats on your first senior goal - that was the sort of goal that we don't otherwise have in the squad, a bit of pace to get across his defender and a good finish. Hopefully he can show some of that in the league against better defences.

The TV cameras were there for one reason - they thought there was a chance of an upset. Just look at some of the other results today. We were quite emphatically not one of them, so a great result and we move on to tougher challenges.

ps anyone know what is up with Evans and Novak?

Well done to the players and McCall. Winning breeds confidence so let's take it into the next game.

We moved the ball well, passed and attacked
at pace but, they gave us room to play.
They didn't press and mainly watched us play.

That won't happen again. I hope we retain some
confidence and desire to keep winning.

Canvey Island next home or away would be good
    especially If on tv.

I can’t trawl through all the post match analysis. Can someone point me to @Rcbantam@Rcbantam ‘s review of the game? They usually have an incisive, objective critique of the the performance.

Not for me I’m afraid. I’m not into bashing players but I can’t recall a performance where I’ve been able to identify what he brings to the squad. We were told he was resigned as wide man with pace. I’ve not seen that pace, nor any qualities we need from a wide man eg. Getting past your man, good deliveries into the box, good link up with WBs, CM and front men. In contrast a Dylan Connelly for example had obvious raw pace so we immediately could see what he offered.

Yesterday again I saw very little impact from him and with most time he plays, he’s pretty anonymous.

Really hope he proves me completely wrong and perhaps a good game on Tuesday will help - but not seen anything so far to indicate that will happen.

A great deal of credit should go to the Tonbridge players. They never stopped trying even at 7-0 and their heads didn't drop. More impressive to note was the fact that they didn't resort to trying to kick lumps out of our players in frustration.
    Well done gents.
By the same token, a great deal of credit should go to our players for a professional performance with no trying to take the Mick out of them.
    Also well done gents.

Credit to both sides, as you say (I commented also) the Tonbridge players played the game in the correct manner, no fainting injury, no nasty challenges, there should never have been any doubt we wouldn't win the game and win it comfortably but even when the game was won at half time did any of our players take the mickey and start snowboarding etc, a good day around but we need to put it behind us and concentrate on the Oldham game to an extent but more so the Exeter game.
