“I’m not just bringing in somebody for the sake of it, if we’re allowed to do that. They’ve got to be game ready as well.”

    Two Words. Chris Taylor.

Agreed, trying to square peg Vaughan as a target man is making him look daft as the games tick by. He just seems to want a physicality to his forwards more than any type of finesse. Even when he plays 1 up front as we've seen with Vaughan lately, most touches are on his chest or head and it's just not his game.

And seems desperate to play Reeves who has been out for 2 years.

Sure @Bronco@Bronco will have a reason for Bowyer talking utter nonsense again though.

Your using the word desperate like fans on Twitter have started to use the mediocre. He isn't desperate as I said yesterday, he's at a stage that he can now use him as he's fit and can play some part. It's not being desperate to use a player who's back in the squad that's better than some of the other players in his position.

Which makes the signing of Taylor even more strange.

You're one that claims Bowyer talks rubbush, is a bottler etc if Reeves gets a run out he can hardly be classed as a bottler.
A player at Reeves age does not lose his ability, if the nedical team say he is ready to start that will be the case they would not risk another relapse by playing him if he's not ready.
They are profesionals their jobs are to make decisions with regards players readiness to return after injury, not a fan who knows nothing about his past injuy.

In the simplist of terms I guess the manager who knows the player looks at it and says if Taylor better than Devine, Anderson and Akpan, is he available, can he do more things than say Gibson - if the answer is yes which it looks like it is then he brings him in with the view to moving 2/3/4 of them on in January. How longs Devitt going to be out? Can he do a job until he returns?

As you say he's worked with Bowyer before so both know what's expected from Taylor, my concern is what's keeping him from being named in the squad, Bowyer said in an article I posted that being without a club was making the lad desperate as he has bills etc to pay, let's hope it just a matter of physical fitness the lad is lacking.

I wouldn't send back devitt. We create absolutely nothing through the middle of the pitch and his recent record suggests he's more than capable of that.

He's been out 3 months and I think the diagnosis was 4 months but Bowyer was hopeful it would be sooner. Problem is he's never asked the question in his presser like he is with reeves etc so I dont think anyone knows.

Don't understand why Devitt's not gone back already. Used to be when you got injured you went back to the parent club to sort it out. Why are they trusting our medical staff for the rehab?

He might be back at Blackpool, do you know specifically that his treatment was here?

Edit - only just seen the post above.

Fact is, we don't even know if he can come back.If he can, why isn't the manager talking about it? We are struggling for goals, don't have any back up, and one of our forwards is on loan and scoring for fun. Logically makes sense to bring him back, that's what loans are for - for the player to regain form and confidence. Job done! What worries me, is that it's glaringly obvious that he should return, but it's not being mentioned because he doesn't have a recall option in his loan.

    He has one mate..

Swindon were claiming they had no money so Rhodes and the club would be utter foolish not to include one plus we were loaning him to another league 2 club so it would be even more foolish not to have included one!

Don't know why the club and Bowyer are not talking about it. Maybe, it's because it's still November and he can't come back until Jan but I would make it care now we are looking at it just to make sure we don't look as foolish as we currently do.
