On current form Kane wouldn’t get in our team never mind the national team.

If he thinks it's too late then I'd tend to agree with you but if it's a possibility (and with a few out of form it should be) then he needs to have a look sooner rather than later.
Who knows, there's usually one surprise pick that makes a late charge.Interested Bystander likes this. -
Rashford has been dross for a while now. This season and last season at least - ask any Man Utd fan and they would find it hard to disgaree. Sancho is struggling to adapt but hopefully finds his feet. Jesse is nearly 30 and his career pretty much stop start. Opportunities there for a wide role as Emile Smith Rowe showed recently.
Rashford needs to find his feet or he could easily end up like Dele Alli. In limbo and miles down the pecking order.
On current form, Bowen should walk into the England team. Needs to carry it through to March for England role though.NorthernMonkey likes this. -

And Bowen just continues and continues...
Sancho - improving but a long way off
Rashford - terrible. Utter crap for a long time.
Grealish - not pulling up any trees.
Sterling - class on his day. Had some tough spells but hit good form recently.
Saka - very good player.
Smith-Rowe - gone off the boil recently. Lost his place.
Lingard - anyone remember him?
Bowen has been the most consistent and best English winger in the PL this season.NorthernMonkey likes this. -

Then they made changes and Elliot absolutely lit up the place. Everything he did was sharp and snappy and he matched it with work rate and energy.
First time I've seen him but I was really impressed and he easily outshone his older, more experienced peers.Sergio Pinto III likes this. -

Just pulled up his stats, 1 PL assist in 2019, that's YEAR, not SEASON BTW.
Pathetic. -
His job as a forward is to contribute more than that. If he had those stats and put in those pathetic performances for Burnley, Watford, Southampton he wouldn't be anywhere near the squad.
Id honesty select Bowen at Hull over him. -

You seem to think 1 goal and 1 assist is acceptable for a forward in 9 months. -
I think the general consensus amongst Man Utd fans is he is shit. -

What I do know is that Gareth Southgate selected him and as an alternative the best you can come up with is Jared Bowen? -
And fans hating a player or loving a player is hardly an example of proof he is shit. Just look at Herrera, Lindeloff and Bailly. Herrera was loved for his workrate but the amount of fouls he gave away near the edge of the box was crazy, and that was because his positional sense in the English game was woeful and he gave away fouls because he was having to try and recover from his bad positioning. Same with Bailly fans love his eye-catching last-ditch tackles but they were again forced on him by being badly positioned so he was having to try and make that up. Lindelof also has positional issues which is why he loses out on every single header he goes for. English football is different to the continent, even Pep had to adapt his style to be more direct and physical and that means the positioning you take up has to be different, all 3 players were/do take up the continental positioning (which is also why all 3 always look more solid in European games) but that puts them half way between two valid positions you need to take up in the English game so they get bypassed. Against Palace most united, fans blamed Maguire for the first goal, not Lindelof even though he lost out on a header with a smaller, less physical player because his starting position was all wrong
Some players can do their job perfectly and even be the best player in the squad and fans will still hate them while others can be poor and still be lovedStop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand... -
