The Brazil situation is completely different though. There's is taking a shape associated with the flag and matching it to the accent colour which is green, a colour in their flag. It's not the exact green but its still a national colour.

In this situation it's not taking the accent colour or the main colour. It's a mosaic of colours some which are no where near either colours in the flag or national colours (and happen to be the colours of the gender fluid flag).

I posted this elsewhere but living in USA all I see is the Chevrolet logo.
Colours by Nike, St. George’s cross by Chevrolet.

Annoys me that the PM has come out (pun intended) and said that it’s wrong. Yet nothings going to happen. Surely he can ban it?

I don't see how people can be upset by this when they seem unbothered when the flag is defaced with messages like "lads on tour" or whatever their club name is.

And now we get to why people are so upset by it and the kit is being called "woke" despite it having nothing to do with that.
Strange how people didn't get all shouty and offended by these kits

Why should he have any power over what shirt the England team wear? Maybe he should do his actual job and stop trying to create culture wars just so he can cling onto power. 2 days ago it was announced that we saw our biggest rise in absolute poverty in 30 years yet we are getting outraged about a colour.
People want to talk about pride of the country, this is what we are now meant to be proud about?

Designed by Pete Saville of Factory Records. If he’d have had his way, the whole shirt would have been small colourful crosses, but the FA marginalised it to just the shoulders so nobody would notice.

I think I've said here I don't have a problem with using a cross as part of the design if it's just making a nod to the flag while pulling in the accent colour of the shirt like the keeper one does. In the current one though it doesn't do that, if they had gone with a single colour cross if one of the accent colours then fine, I can understand the design choice behind that (although one of the colours is red so why it's not red though is ridiculous). It's however not a solid colour cross so loses that nod to the flag, with multiple colours on each arm of the cross and with some of those colours not matching the accent colours it's a farce. And it's repeated on the away kit which doesn't even have most of these colours in it.

On the bottom example, I've not been able to find a good image of the full shirt but that's equally as stupid as it's again not pulling accent colours, seems they made them so small though that you can't see them normally which is probably why the lack of outrage (plus it's still an obvious nod to the flag as they are solid colour crosses)

Again this is clearly a situation that two years ago they made the decision to push a diversity message, have now got cold feet and are trying to spin a ridiculous 'its a homage to 66' line that makes no sense Atleast Adidas with Germany's away kit haven't bottled it, it's also getting criticism but they haven't tried to claim it's not a diversity message by claiming it's attribute to the 1990 world cup team or the likes

It has nothing to do with diversity or the pride flag, the only people making it out to be are the ones that want it to be that as that fits their "anti-woke" agenda. You can't just decide it means something when it doesn't. This is just another excuse to attack the LGBTQ+ community and use to flag to hide behind.
People are getting upset about a colours on a flag for a mythical person who defeated a dragon.

What sums up how stupid these people are that are getting upset about it and claim to be boycotting Nike is that they are pictures at saying they will boycott Nike whilst wearing Nike products.

Why don't people use this outrage for something actuially good like the state of the NHS, the cultures wars being created, the rising levels of poverty or the needless wars around the world?

Yeah or stopping the boats, reversing the net zero craze, 2 tier policing, company's, both private and public, wasting millions on diversity officers, Sunak writing cheques for all and sundry around the world etc etc ......

So what is the colours of the cross for? It's not a tribute to 66 because that has no purple on the 66 training kit and only 1 shade of blue and red ( and if you buy that it is you are a complete and utter fool). It's not pulling in the accent colours as there are more colours there than the accent colours and the flag unlike some others such as Brazil doesn't change per kit.

And people have an issue with things like this because it's another example of companies pandering to the militant lgbtqia+ extremists and pushing of extreme views (and just to be clear I'm not saying lgbtqia+ rights are extreme but many of these far left groups are pushing ideologies beyond that, things which remove others rights, damage young people who are still trying to work out who they are, damage those with mental health issues, even damage other sub groups in the lgbtqia+ grouping etc etc. Things that make society worse not better. For example we have lesbians being told they have to date trans people, both trans men and trans women, including non-transistioned trans women or they are trabsphobic. And where we have to call people they/them or even things like Tree because they reject gender norms even though acting like they are a different gender just reinforces gender norms instead of breaking them down)

You throw “stupid” about a lot. The fact that this flag IS pissing ppl off, is due to the anger around things you’ve mentioned: nhs, poverty, war. Discontent! Even something so “small” as the colour change on OUR flag has got people taking to the streets. Reminds me of the late 70s early 80s. Punk was born. Everyone was looking for something to cling to, as the once Great Britain was far from it. Big things and small changes got people angry. identity was stripped away. It’s not the flag, it’s anger at all the things it SHOULD represent, but no longer does. We’re weak. Nike knows it.
