It's ridiculous, Nike wouldn't date do that to the US flag but think it's ok to do it to ours. Hope everyone who will buy it goes to DHGate and buys one of the very good knockoffs for like £15

Amazing how easily some people get offended by a colour change. People talking about boycotting Nike and they won't buy the shirt when they were never going to buy it in the first place. All of a sudden all of the "anti cancel culture brigade" are all too happy to call for a shirt to be cancelled

That's the top it's supposed to be inspired by. It's one shade of blue, one shade of red and white. There is no dark navy, is no dark red and certainly no purple. They have realised 'we have fecked up, let's try and spin it's and people like you have bought it like the fools Nike and the FA think people are.
And the thing is it's one thing to do something artistic with the flag, Scotland kit has that but atleast out of context you look at Scotland's and know what flag it is. This you would have no idea if you didn't know it was an England kitStop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...NorthernMonkey likes this. -
I don't see how people can be upset by this when they seem unbothered when the flag is defaced with messages like "lads on tour" or whatever their club name is.

Beyond that if you go for one of the sellers on there with lots of sales and high ratings they are really good. Finishing of the stitching may not be up to the official ones but that's on the inside so it doesn't really matter

In general, you should support your club by buying the official but for example I would generally only buy 1 United shirt a year and it would be the one of the 3 I liked the design best of. I can still buy the official one now but I can pick up knock-offs of both of the other kits for less than half what the official one does. I wouldn't have bought them anyway so I'm happy to buy a knock off. And I've never bought an England shirt, never would as I can't justify the price for an England shirt for something you are only going wear for 4 weeks (as you look like some a thug wearing an England shirt when there isn't the WC or Euros on ) but I was consider getting a knock off for this summer
There are also a lot of retro shorts which you cant get these days or if they do release them again they can't release them exactly as they were due to kit and sponsorship deals whereas the knockoffs have the correct manufacturer and sponsor so look like they shouldStop hovering to collapse... I don't feel the kit manufacturers will ever bring prices down because the clubs act as a shield for them. It's the clubs who get the blame, not helped by the likes of Real claiming additional kit sales are enough to cover buying Ronaldo,Benzema and Kaka when the reality it was done via interest free loans from Santander who then wrote them off. The reality is the clubs once they accept the upfront fee get no say on price and only get a single digit percentage off each sale (and actually the kit deal usually includes taking over all merchandising with the club only getting single digit % on those as well). Until people realise this the manufacturers will keep increasing prices and watch the clubs take the abuseStop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand... -

I'm not sure you'd be completely happy if the new City home kit next year included a blue and white striped crest on the front.
I'm also not sure I'd go as far as to say "offended" though, I just think that people like yourself have seen an opportunity and enjoy pretending to have a higher moral standpoint and it probably won't be long until we're all labelled 'racist gammons' for wanting the correct version of our national flag on the national teams football shirt. -

The only person bringing racism into this you. Don't like it then don't buy it.
Also the St George's flag is very rarely on the England kits, the badge of the England Football team is the FA's 3 lions badge which often changes colours including on the away kit which nobody seems to mention.

Why was there never an outrage about this shirt? Or was it that at this time in the world it wasn't fashionable to get outraged and offended

As for this "they would do this to other countries", here is the Brazil kit. Note the Brazil flag at the top.
People really need to get over themselves, stop getting offended by meaningless things and making out that the world is trying to kill you. The people getting upset over these are the same type of people who every say "you're not allowed to say Merry Christmas anymore"
