End of Season Player retention or farewell?

Only a clean slate will do. Fans need to get on the every players backs and make sure they know they're not wanted here.
And IF any our fans clap this shower off the pitch at the last home game of the season. Then your part if the problem and shouldn't bother renewing for next season.

 

O Donnell has 2 consequetive relegations under his belt and now a potential failed season in league2. He’s poor quality , get rid!!

 

Yet he got back in the team as soon as he recovered from injury. Strange that, because I thought Luke McGhee seemed just as good as OD.
What happened to McCartan on the weekend? Totally forgot he wasn't playing. Talking for forgotten, names like Anderson and Devine cropping up on this thread. I think if they are not even featuring on the bench, then they should have now got the message that they are surplus to requirements. Wonder if we can pay of Guthrie too? Fair play to Stuart, one look at him, and he decided to bin him off. Not good for the fellas morale, but banging goals in non league next season should give him a boost.

 

Andy Robertson was relegated with hull and Gini Wijnaldum relegated with Newcastle when they were signed by liverpool. What's your point here?

 

Sorry @Rcbantam I don't want to fall into the same category as yourself, I'll make my own mind up whether I clap the players off or not, some clapped the players off at Salford I didn't as I didn't think after that performance they deserved any praise, but I also didn't shout abuse at the players.

 

I think both Devine and Guthrie are injured ?.

From the T&A Team news: Paudie O'Connor was back in training today but Kurtis Guthrie and Jermaine Anderson are still out.

 

He would probably do better at right back than either Mellor or Henley.

 

Well if they are, its the same case of never being informed.
I thought Guffrie played one game, was found out as being terrible, and is now destined for afternoons in front of the tv instead of on the pitch.

 

I think it was after his first full game against Stevenage that it was mention about his injury.

 

I don't believe for one minute he's injured. I think he's been found out and basically moved out of the spot light.

 

Lets hope we gave Guthers a three year contract.

Doubt it. As bad as those two are, Devine has looked like a fish out of water every time he plays CM nevermind RB.

 

He's playing part of the game v Burnley today.

 

As I've said on another thread he was stand out at RB over the first games under SM in 2016/17 then got injured and Tony Mac kept him out as I recall. I saw all those games, stand out performer.

 

Well that's just not true is it. Devine covered in at RB once at the start of that season, the game vs Oldham at home. Otherwise it was McMahon at RB and Devine at CM.

 

Tony has operated as a right back and right midfielder, so as long as that's taken into account then fair enough.

Devine has got a stupidly hard rap, he's definitely a better player than Jermaine Anderson and performs to a higher level than Hope Akpan despite Akpan being considerably more talented (the triple relegatee effect), and I do remember him performing pretty well at RB as well as CM at times.

Problem is, we're looking at being a top League Two side, and that requires top League Two players, of which we have alarmingly few.

Signing utter dross like Kurtis Guthrie as replacement for quality centre forwards is a real black eye for the club's owners. Sacking the man that allegedly signed them a week later is a second black eye. Failing to finish our chances under Stuart because we axed two quality goalscorers is the broken nose. If only we could throw in the towel this season, we're well behind on the judge's scorecards...
