Unfortunately I spend time at both St James, Bexley wing and the LGI and in ten years of treatment have NEVER seen anyone adult or child having to get treatment on the floor and cannot believe any nurse or doctor would allow this, It is obvious to me this is staged FAKE NEWS and the police should investigate it,

Was listening to Election Cast from the BBC earlier and they were suggesting that this incident with the poor boy on the floor of LGI might ‘put Boris on the back foot’.

Jesus Christ, there’s a small boy suffering from pneumonia on the floor of a hospital. I couldn’t give a flying toss what the circumstances are, the national broadcaster, that we’re legally obligated to fund if we want to watch live broadcasts in this country, shouldn’t be covering this as mere political positioning.

It’s been symptomatic of this election’s coverage and it’s been bloody awful from start to finish.

If you want a glimpse of the future under a Johnson led Govt, have a read of Britannia Unchained written by a group of his current Cabinet and all extreme free market Brexiters - Raab, Priti Patel, Liz Truss and Kwasi Kwarteng. It's very scary and bears little relationship to the brave new world expected by most from a post Brexit UK.

The problem imo is that the GE has now become a choice between Brexit and Corbyn; neither of which will be good for our country's long term economic health.

I think the answer to that is they don’t have a fecking clue mate. It’s been so embarrassing it’s beyond belief, I’ve tried to have an open mind the campaign and see if any party can catch my vote and they’ve failed miserably. Still I get dyed in the wool Labour and Tory voters telling me who to vote for but their only way to convince me is to tell me how useless the other party is.

I feel exactly the same. It's as if they have no clue how to make their own party look more appealing and instead try and achieve this by attempting to make the others look worse.

Politics has always been about who can lie the best and get away with it but these bunch of clowns aren't even attempting to cover up their lies and just deflect or shout down anyone that questions it.

Imagine running a campaign where your whole electability is based upon being "a little bit less sh1t than the others".

Corbyn will go down as arguably the worst leader of a party of all time. Labour are at this time finished as a party if the polls are to be believed.

The melt down on social media is wonderful, still peddling the same excuses about how voters are thick and lacking intelligent for not voting Labour. Theres only so many times you can churn out the same shite before people just ignore you. Its quite tedious and boring after hearing them time and again.

No? John Lansman from Momentum is on ITV now spouting the usual nonsense of the far left and backing Corbyn.
It's not a shock to me. I've been saying from 6 months after he became leader that he couldn't lead Labour out of a wet paper bag. I like some of his policies but he's a hopeless leader and has too many hostages to fortune in his past to be acceptable to most voters.
I think his better than expected showing in the 2017 GE masked his inadequacies.

That was a great comment near the end of his speech, about Labour hands quivering over the Tory candidate, and accepting it might only be a borrowed vote.
He now holds all the aces, lets see if he can deliver not only on Brexit but the injustice of the North/South divide.

I wish I had your confidence!

I suspect Corbyn and McDonnell will both stay on for a short period of 'reflection' whilst they and the Corbyn inner cabal put in place the processes which will position a Corbyn or even Corbyn-lite candidate as his successor. Whether that's Long-Bailey or Angela Raynor or even Richard Burgon, it won't solve the fundamental issue that Labour has drifted too far to the left already and if they are to be regarded as a serious political party in the future, a Corbyn disciple is the last thing they need. They have to regain the centre ground as Blair did and whilst ever the likes of Andrey Murray, Seumas Milne, Jon Lansmann, Carrie Murphy, Len McCluskey etc have any influence, that will never happen.

I think we may have reached a point where politics in this country can't sink any lower. At least the only way is up. I have my doubts as to Johnson's longevity but it does seem like the electorate and the party are behind him. For now at least. For Labour i think they have to have a long think about who they represent and rebuild their party accordingly. most importantly they have to stop the constant infighting and with this recruit a leader who gives them the best chance of unifying this. To paint the inside of the house they need to get the keys first. Then you can paint it whatever colour you want. And the choice of leader is pivotal to getting those keys.

Labour need to reflect that the Conservatives did not win this election as much as Labour lost it, The Tory vote only went up by1%,
By comparison the Labour vote crashed down by anything up to 18%, What that says is that the Tories won because Labour supporters abandoned them as unelectable,
