You're correct, take the odd game out and it was a little like a training session, I'm not knocking ball possession but there is a time when you have to get it into the area to score.

Exactly we are probably at the moment one league below where we should be if we were judging it by income rather than size of crowd. So that’s possibly one season away

I posted the other day I cant remember feeling so unenthusiastic with regards the coming season, we all usually get a buzz as the opening days fixture gets nearer, it will certainly be different this coming season that's for sure.

Come off it Bronco that’s like saying historically we were hanging people, wearing clogs, and driving round in carts so we should be content with that. Historically we are a lot of things and we should have banished those lower league days when we made the premier league.

Huddersfield Town don’t show that lack of ambition and they had a humble background.

this club has also had more than enough money chucked at it not to be in the same league as Barrow.

    Coulda shoulda woulda.

Hudderfield Town had a Hudderfield Town "fan bankrolling them" after selling his card business for £350 mill previously they were hardly a successful football club although most of the time certainly better than Bradford City, we have an owner now who is possibly the richest owner we've ever had but unfortunately he will not be doing the same.

If you are not prepared to accept our past history then by all means bellyache till the cows come home unfortunately that will not make the players perform better nor will it encourage Stefan to spend more of his brass on a venture he has little interest in apart from doing as little as he can to try and keep the value of his investment anywhere near what he paid.

    Wetherby hope you are well.
Putting a commercial head on I have always wondered why clubs at our level allow themselves to be shunted into Tuesday night games home and away so often thru the season.Tell me are we contractually bound by the League to have to play on the fixed dates or can we suggest to clubs we would prefer to play on spare Saturday giving a better chance of a better gate revenue? I would cancel games on long distance treks now and agree to find an agreeable Saturday/Sunday/Friday night to max revenue.
    look forward to your thoughts

Mate I am in the far north of Scotland at the moment. They are exporting Cludgie’s from Glasgow, the running water comes down the walls and if we are lucky there is some paraffin for the lamps!;)

Peat is not the name of someone, but something you burn and the smoke, helps to keep the ‘wee beasties’ at bay.

The EFL have tv contract to honour through Sky and Sky did a deal with Ifollow for midweek games.

If it was just Saturday games then league 1 & 2 wouldn't even be on tv anywhere.

Huddersfield spent most of their time in the top 2 divisions until 1972, champions of England three times, FA Cup finalists four times.

You mention we are in the same league as Barrow now. Huddersfield are in the same league as Wycombe.

It’s not about accepting history, it is just that, it doesn’t need to be ‘accepted’ It’s not a badge of honour.

Some of the more enjoyable games I’ve been to have been lower league stuff, going back 25 years. We had no money and a team of grafters in the main....not like some of the clowns we have now swanning about in Range Rovers (BRE)

I can’t muster too much excitement for us right now and don’t accept this is our rightful place, sorry.

So what, 1972 is a long time ago. Not really sure your point I don’t think Huddersfield fans will be too bothered which teams they are playing, it’s championship football.

Who's wearing it as a badge of honour, whether we like it or not it is part and parcel of supporting Bradford City FC, whats the point in dressing our past up it is what it is and not being ambitious, demanding better or any of the other buzz words quoted will turn our club around, I don't think I've quoted its our rightful place, what I have said is over the years I've watched Bradford City and no doubt the time you have we were an average division 3 club with the odd promotion and FA Cup run thrown in, and that unfortunately is fact and cant be dressed up differently
Now is exactly the time the club needs it's fans, it's not great but unfortunately this is the situation we find ourselves in, basically due to one man, it's no good fans saying but he's been gone over 12 the damage is done and when you get people very near the club giving their opinion it might take 5 years to recover (and that was before Covid) then the problems at our club become more relevant, I wish Stefan was a Dean Hoyle unfortunately he's not, I accept fans will have different opinions and I can understand your frustration but having a go will not change anything.

If we’re ever to progress as a club we need to look forward not back, more the staff at the club than fans as they’re the ones with the ability to change it. We may have played Barrow once upon a time, that doesn’t mean we just accept its who we are. Businesses are supposed to grow and develop, if Morrisons regressed to the size they were 50 years ago they wouldn’t say well for a lot of our history it’s how we were so we can’t complain. Football is a business and we need to be looking for better, one of the biggest cities in England and a one club city at that and we should just accept playing league 2 football because of our history. No thanks we need to strive for much better. Clubs like Bournemouth and Swansea did, 4th division clubs when we were in the top 2 tiers. That’s where drive, determination and strategy can get you.

One man, you can’t blame Edin for this it started before him , It’s a long list of shockers that have dragged us down, Bowyer, what did he do for this club with his L1 budget, nothing.

Can’t disagree with a lot of that though.

I've just done that and given reasons why, looking back neither Hopkin or Bowyer were the right candidates but hindsight is a wonderful thing, one thing every Bradford City fan did know was that the appointment of Collins & Drury was a massive risk, realising what a mess he'd made Rahic then panicked and brought a manager who fragmented the squad even more, although again most thought that was the right way to keep the bad eggs away.
Julian brought Bowyer in who had a reasonable record getting Blackpool up first time of asking and working under a mad owner, again there were few if any at the time quoting it was a poor appointment.
Julian bringing Stuart back is without doubt a risk but I believe at the time Julian hoped the Stuart factor would kick in and possibly get a play off place back on track unfortunately he couldn't change things, massive season coming up not only because we don't know what the future holds but because we can't continue to making excuses for want of a better word, I get how you feel and the frustrations of others but this is not the time to give up on OUR club (I'm not suggesting that's what you're going to do) but we need asap to get fans back in those seats backing the team and lets see what happens as the season unfolds.

Oh so now you admit to yourself Bowyer wasn't right for the club. You backed him like he was a family member even though he was putting everyone to sleep.

Bowyer came in when we were in div 1 and didn't do anything but still lazy Rhodes gave him the job. Rhodes brought McCall because of the crowd not because of his qualities.

This is the perfect time for people to give up the club if they choose too. In every way the club has been failing fans.
