Don't think I'll ever forget the 6-0 tonking we took at Hayes and Yeading that time.
That Stuart Macall then punched a woman in the face and spat at the baby in her pram made me feel sick. Showed his L**ds-side.

Obviously to think that way you're the type of poor 'supporter' that would do that.

This summer, recruitment has been much better and fans are generally happy.
It's not that complicated. Leave the shite and rumour to one side; sign good players and the rest looks after itself.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand... -

What is Edin doing wrong ?
He wants to sign the players
He wants to pick the team
He wants to choose the tactics
Plenty of folks on here say they can do all this (must be easy), he is only different from these in the fact that he owns the club and can do all this if he wants, he dont have to just come on here and say what he would/could do.
Good luck to the new regime
I hope it works and I will back it until it dontDoodle, Seasideman, Mickey bantam and 1 other person like this. -

Long term that heads one way if the shit hits the fan - administration. Lessons weren't learnt from our previous administrations, mainly because one of the owners remained constant.
Our new owners have quickly realised that you can't get promoted from L1 and in the long term build for better by having a league 1 structure. Long term I believe our new owners will build us into a stronger club and I'm prepared to wait. If I want instant gratification I can always use Redtube or go round to Fordy's and pay for a go on his midgets.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... I am up beat because the management team are doing things to improve the club. We have a young, hungry coach, a good back up team, in Edin a owner who is willing to back the club, where it makes sense to back the club and is strong enough to not fold because of a small number of fans making a lot of noise, we have a great new kit and finally we have been recruiting young, hungry players with great potential to add to our old core team from last year.
I'm sorry but I really don't, at this point, see anything negative about what has gone on the last few weeks.
I get that we would like to be told more but it is the managements prerogative to decide what they share and when.,
I am optimistic.

IMO the last few years have been extremely enjoyable and successful in that we have made year on year progression (apart from last season). However, when you look deeper it’s mostly the clubs who have the financial ability to go out spend more freely, who get the success. We don’t have this so we MUST start to think differently. Take a look at every industry out there nowadays and those who choose to take risks and think outside the box, often are the ones who are successful.
For me, Collins appointment COULD actually be an absolute master stroke. Given the risk and lack of experience/history I can imagine he is a cheaper option than any experienced coach we interviewed. However If he is as good as Abbott and Edin say he is, then these savings on funds can be reinvested. Let’s not forget we also have to cover the essential pitch and training ground improvements.
I’m completely behind Edin’s strategy. It’s hard to see good professionals like Doyle go, and the nature of how (if rumours are to be believed) don’t sound
great to us as supporters. However again, i always believe there is more to the situation than we hear.
I really feel if we are to seriously progress in the future, something had to change, in the absence of a significant windfall of money. So I’ll back Edin on this and be patient. The worst thing that could happen is we turn into Blackpool and install a toxic atmosphere within the club. Unless we have significant evidence to do so, I hope we can all try to remain open minded and judge this strategy on actual results.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... The concept you describe is all well and good if you are signing players that will genuinely improve and become assets. Big risk as are most transfers. I think we will all agree so far.
But where some are getting lost is how we move forward as a club. Say Riley fulfills his potential, then what? We keep him and build a team with him that can get promoted and sustain life in the Championship? Or do we sell him for the first big offer we get, keeping some money back to sign his ‘youthful’ replacement (and start the cycle again) and giving Rahic/Rupp a return on their investment?
Are we trying to build a team that can get promoted and competitive in the higher league, or improving players to self-fund?
Which is it?
You keep referring back to McCall and whilst many of us were unhappy with how he was treated and forced out, this has nothing to do with how fans see a flaw in their model.Stop hovering to collapse... Hi Norman, you are right a forum is all about individuals opinions but as Tennessee says I can only believe you are being somewhat ironic in your views on making things personal. Apparently those who dont agree with you bleat and whine all day and are nancy's whilst you lift up your eyes (and see the light?!) - hell you sound like you are trying to put yourself up there with the great Civil Rights leaders over the years. Whether the Rahic model works or not is not the main issue for many reasonable people on this site, it is the way he has gone about it!
