Only if we have a couple of decent players coming in (for certain)... he's only just playing himself into some form, be daft to swap him for a Kai Breunker at this point so we'd need a ready made replacement or three, far from guaranteed

Yes he would. But to replace him like for like, in January, you'll likely increase the wage bill not decrease it. Therefore, he and his fairly substantial wage need ring fencing from any cuts to the wage bill.

Doyle has been a massive disappointment, but now is not the time to cut loose a guy who has scored 4 in his last 6.

His work rate is poor, and he loves to give up and look frustrated, but he could be starting to turn a corner.

 

None of this is will matter if he continues to score goals as he has recently.

Agree that he’s been a big disappointment but he’s starting to show what he can do in a team that creates chances.

 

His work rate is not poor at all. He just can’t head a ball for toffee. I think he does a lot of he ball that people seem to forget. I think if he could feed of a big striker he will improve. Be put up front on your Todd chasing after shit balls is no fun but to me he gets in to spaces that a striker should and with a little more confidence and a bit better service he could be in my eyes help us stay up in the second half of the season. Fingers crossed

Indeed, but most of the squad didn't cost the highest fee paid for any player in a long, long time and come with a reputation.

Doyle is a huge signing. Same can't really be said for Miller, who has arguably been better (which is bad, when some deride Miller for his lack of ability...)
