Our style of play so far this season doesn't suit Doyle's style of play
We have to change or Doyle will become a passenger
Bigger test for GB than for Doyle in my opinion

Wouldn't worry me in the slightest as long as they stump up 150-200k. We have the cards for once. As long as the board keep their cool it's a win win situation in my eyes. We've bolstered our options up top and brought goals to the team and if they offer us some money happy days.

 

NONSENSE, serious conversations will have taken place between Doyle, Bower and the team. He will be accommodated with his best interests at heart in view of him being in excellent form. Let’s stop the negativity before he’s even put his boots on. He won’t be on his own up front with a long face like last season so don’t you worry your cotton socks!

 

Interesting to see that every one of those goals were scored inside the box

If he stays, then I predict 9 goals, including the winner at home to Walsall to clinch promotion, and condemn Swindon to the play offs

 

8. His scoring rate at Swindon in the first half of the season has been silly but it could still drop and he's still be an improvement on what we've played upfront in his absence.

 

I don't think he'll play every game though, and Vaughan's total will be propped up by pens. If Vaughan gets eight from open play in the second half he'll have improved his contribution so far.

I think Bowyer has a very good squad at his disposal now and he'll rotate them all to keep them fresh.

Looks excellent strength there in terms of what you can get on a L2 budget formed from fans paying 50 % less than they could expect to from STs.

 

I think he will play for Swindon again this season.

I would add that for that to work, he needs to allowed to stay in around the box!

 

Would not be surprised to see him go to Swindon before the end of the transfer window. City have the contract of the player who has been scoring regularly, high earner. Swindon will have to find a new /revised offer to meet his wages and compensate us accordingly for his services or he stays as we can now afford him.

For me anything between 7-10 will be a good return assuming he doesn't go back to Swindon. Even if he goes back to Swindon i don't see him getting another 20+ in the 2nd half of the season. A goal in the first 2 or 3 games will be massive or doubts will start creeping in not just from him but the fans as well.

 

I just cant see our lads making chances like that lot, between 1 and 3 goals for me, and at least one of which will be a penalty.
