Agree, prepare now. Sack Hopkin, nothing to lose as he hasn't a prayer of saving us from relegation anyhow.

Do whatever we can to tempt Paul Hurst, who has 3 promotions under his belt, as well as doing a fantastic job at Shrewsbury, so that he can come in and have a stab at saving us from the drop, and preparing us for next season.

 

People like Thornton @How and @EwanJM will still back Hopkin lol. its hilarious. it honestly is.

There is only so much we could do now regarding working towards next season. I honestly thought that our Jan transfer business would have been working towards league 2 next season... but it doesn't look that way.

We are in for a long run in league 2 again... because this squad wouldn't even compete at that level.

As long as the appropriate changes are made in the summer, I will be happy. Too late in the day now to rescue this season.

 

Sadly your right; the thought of the "rump end" of League football has about as much appeal as a afternoon at Odsal with the Dulls! ? Still Solihull Moors and Forest Green should be something to "relish" .. you could do those places with Guiseley two year ago ! We are one dog awful season from leaving the Football League ! ? We need Steve Evans ; he knows how to "nasty his way" in League 2 !

I'm not going to start digging out any fans who stay with this team until the inevitable end. But I'm done. The infighting will only get worse, as will the performances - difficult though that is to believe. We're absolutely done, certainly for this season and who knows for the longer term. I wouldn't take a season ticket for free next season. I'm sickened by what we've become. I'll find another way to spend my Saturdays, doing something that's actually enjoyable with my kids. This lot aren't worth the steam off my piss, let alone my money, time and support.

I think we will be relegated but you need to calm down and let people be positive if they want to be.

The club cannot afford to just sack the manager. You have to cut your cloth. If you went to the game fair play to be angry but How is just a fan like you.

Yes, he had one impressive season at Shrewsbury which ended with a couple of near misses but actually his overall c.v. doesn't suggest he's someone to put your hopes in.

I have to agree with you. Walsall didn't just go down to ten men they lost their main man, the only real danger I foresaw before kick-off.
Hopkin has a terrible habit of saying things which come back to haunt him in the very next match. "We're now much more mentally strong than when I walked in and mentally strong enough for the relegation dog-fight" doesn't ring too true after today's capitulation.
However, I remain of the opinion that Hopkin is the right man to be in charge next season even if that's going to be in League Two. His record at Livingston was excellent and I believe a manager needs at least two transfer windows before he can be fairly judged, except for extreme circumstances.

 

And Leeds fans are seeing their team almost in the prem. Makes my blood boil
