In the 90s when it was Wenger and Fergie going at it, it seemed more grounded, although not sure if that’s just because I was a kid and not open to seeing the corruption as much.

These days the likes of Liverpool and Man Utd are funded by loans taken out by American owners. So are they really any better than Arab-owned City or Saudi-owned Newcastle. All as rotten as each other?

The points deduction Everton got wasn’t fair and should be reversed.

So many of these clubs bend their finances to do what they can to compete at the top.

One correction…Chelsea bankrolled by laundered money obtained from Russian Citizens according to a book I read. .

Agree, maybe if the fines were directed at the club owners so it came out of their pockets instead of once again the fans that would reduce these dodgy dealings.
The club have lodged an appeal so maybe it will be reduced or thrown out altogether.
