Do you subscribe to the T&A

Parker isn’t too bad, I mean he’s no Hugh McIlvanney, but he’s not bad, but apart from him the standard of journalism is absolutely appalling, click bait articles, copy and pastes from WYP’s Twitter account, way too many adverts and the videos of some PL manager interviews. You’d be a mug to pay for that.
The comments sections are as bad. Woody, that bell end Cougar and Shaun from Richmond on City stories and any non city story is guaranteed to descend into borderline if not outright racism in about four posts.
The industry is dying on its arse but Jesus they don’t help themselves.

 

Not bought the T&A for years. Company I work for used to have a pile in reception for anyone to pick up and read on their breaks, I picked up a couple of times, but sadly not even worth a free copy.

Don't mind Simon Parker at all, and will always try and read his articles if I can view them somewhere on line without subscribing

The T & A are a disgrace for Bradford. They think they can sell on negativity. Bradford needs positive PR now and the paper should be driving that. It’s out of touch with what the people want or what the city needs.

It’s a joke of a paper. Owned by Newquest who are part of an American company and have money but boy anyone that pays for this paper is a mug.

 

Subscribe to the Yorkshire Post online as that has quality journalism inside its paper. The T&A is a joke and not worth the paper it’s printed on. They know that only the City articles are the only thing folk are interested in. I wonder how much the club gets for the access it gives to the T&A to provide these paid articles. Bet it’s nowt!

Only pensioners buy the T&A so expect that within the next 10 years it to disappear.

Agree completely. The newsquest websites are appalling in their layout with ads popping up everywhere making reading the article virtually impossible.

It's the click bait that annoys me -there was a headline the other week warning of heavy snow due in Bradford district and the article contained no detail other than the last sentence mentioning the possibility of snow in the coming months. No shit sherlock.

I subscribe to the T&A because it’s the only newspaper source about City. Once it’s gone you’ll struggle to read a match report on our club. In the 60s to 80s the National newspapers used to have a City report on a Sunday with even photos of the action at Valley parade ,now it’s all Premier league stuff. I remember Fred Trueman often covered a local game in the Sunday People. As a kid I looked forward to what Don Alred wrote about City and then David Markham and despite the rubbish Fordy puts on here Simon Parker does a good job covering City.

 

Funnily enough, Parker has often included links to "sister" papers when previewing upcoming games with their takes, but despite being "sister" papers them articles are always available. Every city story is now premium and unreadable to 90% of folk

 

And don't forget the "Pink" on a Saturday night!!. Those were the days!

 

The only thing I can think of is the advertising doesn't bring much in because if it did then they wouldn't be changing the model

 

Don't tell me they've scrapped that too...!!
